Beholder Once thought to be an ancient Forerunner haven, this site is now a place of constant conflict. 4-12 players By: RunTime83 Download Map Here I spent many hours working on this, redoing it, and finally perfecting it. It is a completely symmetrical map. I have used the interlocking technique on probably 90% of this map to make it look and feel as smooth as a Bungie map. The 2 original base areas(the armory room and the back hallway) have been closed off by walls. There are boxes that go around these 2 small outcroppings to provide a path on top. There are power drains on each side here. Right below here is a single box with a bridge across it. The box has a small enclosed section with a shield door(BR located in this small area). Right around the corner from here is a grav lift for quick access to the top. There is another grav lift floating above this to ensure that no matter what direction you jump in the grav lift from you will always get to where you need to be. The invisibility is located near here. The back area has been created with fence boxes. There are shotguns located in each back corner on the ground. The regenerators are located above those. There is a walkway that will take you up a small but steep hill to the overshield that is hidden away in an open box. The sniper rifle is located above this on a small open platform. The rockets are located directly opposite the sniper right above the grav lift enclosure. There are ramps on the sides of the map to provide another route up top. A BR is located under these ramps. In the middle of the structure is a small square area whith 2 small levels. The lower level is accessible by many points. You can just walk to the next level. You have to crouch jump from the grav lift side to get on top of this area. The sword is located here, as well as a BR and other goodies. On either side of this is another bridge that will take you to the main starting points for all the gametypes. It is recessed lower than the pathway. A needler and a brute shot are located near here. This map has been very well recieved on the Bungie forums. I hope you guys like it just as much. Enjoy.
Sup Runtime! Finally made it to Forgehub eh? Welcome.. See'n as how I have already played this map a few times, I can already say that it is good fun. It's been a while since I played on it, but I seem to remember ownin with the needlers.. LoL Sorry I can't offer much more praise but I really don't remember all the finer details of the map. It's good tho, and again, welcome to Forgehub. You'll like it here. **thumbs up!** Ninja Monkey vanish* POOF! -EDIT- I can't help but notice so many people writing the same thing in every map thread.. **points up**
Me likey the energy sword place and grav lift into open box technique. Is this seriously ur first forge hub map, MAKE MORE!!!
Glad you guys like it! I actually have another that is nearly finished. It is called Transgression. There is a v.95 in my fileshare but I will finish it sometime today and post it. If you want to check it out feel free, also have many other maps in my fileshare worth checking out.
well from the pictures this map looks realy well put together and neat i like how you have placed all the boxes on slants(so annoying to do ) the level looks great. i will d/l it and come back with an updated review if i find anything that needs fixing.
This map is not getting the attention that it deserves. I did a Forge-through and it looks great. I can't wait to get some people together to play it. By the way, I almost didn't find the rockets.
after lookig through your map i have come too see that you have put a tremendous amount of time into it and it seems to look perfect the range of weapons is alos great the way you even used parts of the back of the map is amazing. You have even managed to to the weapon spawns and respawns nicely. Furious is right this map needs to get noticed more. (And if you do get a game started send me an invite gamertag: flange25)
I have played on this map and would like to say that I very much liked it and it had a very good layout. - Brute Captain
To quote Furious, this gave me a Forge-gasm. It is that good Seriously, download this map. You will not regret it.
Wow! Thanks everyone. Glad to see my effort paid off. I will be posting a new map sometime today, but I need a few people to test some stuff out. If anyone wants to help please let me know. LOL Thanks!
I've played two games here, a FFA Slayer game and a 4v4 Multi-Flag CTF. In the Slayer game it seemed like the bottom level was significantly less powerful than the top. In most cases, it was a deathtrap. In the CTF game, it seemed like the half of the map with the overshield was used far more than the rest of the map. The flag carriers took the flags that way almost every time. Add to that the fact that we always seemed to respawn near the power drains, and it got a little frustrating. Also, we respawned on the enemy side several times, and I respawned right next to their flag at one point. Are there respawn areas in place? It didn't seem like it. But you did a great job with the object placement. You've made a very memorable, if a bit unbalanced level. I'd like to see the overshield moved to the bottom floor to help the people on the ground (also, it's a bit hard to find where it is). It would also be nice if there was one or two placeable grav lifts on the ground somewhere. That would really open up some options for players, and make the ground easier to escape from. But overall, it's a very good map. I'm keeping this one for a while so I can play a few more games here. I'm looking forward to your next maps.
