Why did I pick orbital? For the simple fact that as soon as I first played it, I knew this map was perfect for a puzzle. So, ever since last month, I've been constructing this puzzle map from a normal, non-budged glitched, canvas. It's amazing, hard, and will keep you confused the entire time, because you aren't used to puzzles on this map. In fact, you didn't even see one yet on Orbital!! Here's a brief description of all the different puzzle rooms (including pictures): 1. I hope you remembered that Sean Kingston song "Beautiful Girls", because this puzzle's suicidal. 2. See those doors on the left? Why are there a bunch of crates to the right of it blocking off the switch? Hmm... 3. It's just a big empty hallway with half of the hall blocked off by a huge door, and no teleporter at all. But wait, is that a crack in the corner of the door? 4. There's just a big floating teleporter attached to the wall. How hard can it be to get up there? 5. No hints in this picture. Just part of the hallway in which the teleporter's in. But, there's more, actually, WAY more, of the room other then what's pictured below. What could be there? 6. Again, no hints in this picture on how to get to the teleporter. Just shows the teleporter, and a gravity lift that looks destined to explode once you do a certain something... You've reached the end of the puzzle map! Congradulations! Want something else to do? I got something for you to do on this map. While your in room number 4, the room with the floating teleporter, try and get the skull on the map while still in the game. It's not impossible. I've done it a few times on accident, and I'm sure you guys can get up there too. If you can get the skull, then you are amazing. No, SUPER amazing! How 'bout that!
Niceeeee. First orbital puzzle! Congrats! I love puzzle maps, and I'll definitely give yours a whirl. Do I get anything if I beat it? If I do, I'll put a vid in my fileshare to see if I did it right.
that's because of how the pictures are taken. Plus, you can only build puzzles based on what the map looks like at default. You can't build stuff out of boxes or walls, you have to deal with what the map is. But, it doesn't mean it's boring. It's challenging though. Real challenging.
Its a challenging map, but there really isnt too much going on that was different from the original orbital. However, I do have to take in consideration that it IS an orbital map and that there aren't too many options. Otherwise, good job.
i was lost most of the time, only because i never play on orbital though ^-^ All around great job, 5/5 (five being the best) Also, congrats on being the first to post a puzzle map of orbital on FH.
The map looks good, too bad I don't have the mythic map pack yet, but I'll download once the mythic map pack hits the marketplace.
Thanks. I didn't want to take the chance of saying this is the first orbital puzzle, because I thought there was one before me. But I guess not. And there still isn't any other Orbital puzzles. Haha. Looks pretty easy if you ask me :\ But pretty good map for an orbital puzzle map. I give you credit for that cause theres not much you can do on orbital. 3.5/5
It is pretty easy. Compaired to a puzzle like Shadow Spire, or any of the Saw puzzle maps, this is easy. But hey, it's on Orbital, and it's the only one so far.
I enjoyed this map a lot. Took me about an hour total to beat it (I couldn't get the stupid power drain right under the gravity lift). Orbital is apparantly a great map for puzzles. The way you did things had me confused, but to be honest it's not the hardest puzzle I've ever played. There are two complaints to this map. A - Make more puzzles on it, there was only 5 or 6 B - Make it a little bit harder, I guess. I'm not to sure on this one though. Anyways, good job. The backdrop of the voice of the man is intresting to listen to, especially when trying to figure out a puzzle. Soothing, I guess?
I might just make another puzzle map on Orbital and put some more puzzles on it. But, I used Orbital and it's entirety on this puzzle, so there can't be a lot of puzzles, as surposed to sandbox/foundry ones, with over 20. *YouTube video is updated in main post. Watch it if you are stuck, or want to see more of the puzzle map. But remember, it is a walkthroiugh, so it's filled with spoilers.*
I really do think that bungie should make every map in the map pack "Forgable" Cause this map looks very good for infection and puzzles.
I think the same thing as you. I mean, this map is great for puzzles, because I made a puzzle on here. Assembly isn't really good for anything, forge-wise, and sandbox is just perfect for anything.
