Foundry Monument

    Hello, here's my first competitive map. I call it Monument because originally i just made the stairs in the back by the flag return, and it was tall and kinda looked like some kind of monument.

    The map has a sniper at each base, a hammer in the middle trench, and rockets at the top on the "monument" by the fusion coils. There is a bubbleshield that spawns with the rockets, a regenerator near each sniper and, a deployable cover near the turrets in the back, and a power drain inside the flag spawn bases next to the brs.

    The whole map is built around the trench in the middle that connects to each flag spawn and it is for the most part inescapable if you are in their or have the flag unless you jump on someone's head or grenade jump.

    The map works with team slayer and multi-flag so far, but i will be updating this as I start adding more spawns.

    Your map looks pretty good but the only thing is some of your interlocked boxes are bumpy, I suggest going to forging 101 to learn how to interlock a little. But don't take this the wrong way i still like your map :)

    I'm just trying to help :D

    Yeah thats true. As sad as it is, people here at forgehub don't download maps if they play nice, they download them is they look nice, so you should check out Forging 101 on geomerging, [clean] interlocking, and so on. Maybe even study some aesthetic peices that'll give your map some enviroment. Also, before you make a map, think about the layout of what your going to do, also what gametypes it will be outfitted for. Those can alter what your map will look like by miles so plan ahead.

    Thanks... In the pas when I geometge, it hasn't really worked out for me... But I will try to interlock more and make it neater... Try out multi falg on it though.. A

    It does look like it would be fun but the map seems way too overloaded with weapons. And i'm sure you could make it look better (no offense) but those double boxes that are interlocked in a wierd way could be cleaned up. The rest of it looks pretty clean though.

    After you play, what weapons should be taken out/ changed?

    and about the messy double boxes,...they have holes at the tiop for grenades to go in before your team enters inside to get the flag(kind of like a pre-stun)...

    hello, its whiizzle!...and a video would be nice, if you could, (i dont know how..), but your map looks very nice. and territories would be great on it! i should think about that for my map


    PS to everyone, i am going to work on finishing off the gametype problems tomorrow, so by tuesday the finished map will be posted!
