I'm wondering if it would work. I screwed up on my Sandbox map which I put a lot of work into, and now can have only 16 spawns without deleting anymore stuff. I would delete more, but everything left is pretty crucial to the map. That would leave only 8 spawns per side. Is that too little?
Yes. You need waayyyy more spawn points than that. Otherwise people will be getting Exterminations left and right. Sorry.
hmmmm I'm trying to figure out how to get pics up so I can show you guys the map. I see what you mean, but my map is a little different and more confined so I'm hoping it would work.
Distortion by buddahcrane only uses five or four spawns and it is one of the best maps forgehub has produced throughout the years. (Personal opinion) Take a look at some major featured maps for inspiration. It will make you realize that one or two spawns for each major area and choke-point will work excellent. Devinish's guide in forging 101 might help you realize how to place spawns and they will work efficiently.
Because I deleted everything when I started the map, not realizing those items didn't effect the item limit. The I made a map and I'm now hitting the item limit, which isn't allowing me to place mroe spawns unless I delete map items. I've actually deleted a few things and gotten the amount up to 15 spawns on each side, 30 in all. I still don't think thats enough though.
Oh i see. Yea unless your map is tiny and you have a lot of cover that probably won't work out very well. I usually put at least 50 on my foundry maps
