I have a turtle beach mic but it broke. This happened to me a week ago and I bought a new one, now this one is done too. My xbox knows I have a mic, for the signal next to your name says I have one. But when I try to talk it doesn't work. Is there a way to fix this? I don't want to run out and buy another one.
um can people hear you talking when you talk? because my friend has a shitty, broken mic that he fixed and uses and sometime when he is talking it doesnt show the symbol for him talking. i dont know what to do though, but i would search around the net for some answers before buying a new one! good luck!
It's your controller, not the microphone. I had the same problem. I wouldn't suggest having it individually repaired, just purchase a new controller. Personally, I can not determine the exact malfunction, for I'm not that experienced, just I'm sure it's your controller. Before obtaining a new controller, try possibly switching batteries, or switching controllers if you have a spare. Hope this helped.
I sometimes lick the part of the mic that goes into the contoller. That works for me. Every now and then you might have to do that.
Switching controllers didn't help and neither did switching the batteries. I might still have the reciept so I could get another one possably for free. I will just go to Walmart tomorrow and swap out for another one. Thanks anyways guys!! Can a mod please lock this please?
Just one more suggestion: Try joining a party if you haven't yet. Not ingame chat. Although Microsoft has managed to master a lot of things from a gamer's aspect, the microphone system isn't top notch. For some reason whenever people can't understand me because there's a loud fuzzy noise, it is cured the second I join a party. These are the types of things I'll never understand
