When making an infection map, I was close to the maximum objects that could be placed. So instead of putting a bunch of respawns for the zombies, I put about 5 respawn areas. But the thing is, when I tested it, if the zombies died, they would start on the main level. Oh, I forgot to say this is Sandbox. I deleted the 5 areas and put 5 respawns to see if it would work and it did. So what the heck? I made sure I put the respawn areas to attackers. They still did not spawn. I am making a new map and I will need this question answered so I can firgure out if I can put respawn areas because I will need them, because my map requires he zombies to spawn in different places in order. Thanks!
Respawn areas only influence spawn points that are in them, they do not act as standalone spawners. e.g. A spawn area by itself will do nothing, but a spawn area with a spawn point inside the boundary will give that spawn point a priority over other spawn points lacking a spawn area. EDIT: Ignore the person above me, he did not understand the nature of the question and problem.
