This is a very similar remake but with some key changes and variations. This is a mid-sized map for about 6-10 people to play on. This map would be best for Slayer and CTF. The map has the gloomy setting on to give it a darker feel. Tell me about it, i've had 5 essay's within the last 4 days! it's crazy! So i don't really post my maps too often, and i spend ages on them to make them perfect. iI'm not just talking 3 hours for a map, i'm talking over 24 hours. Anyway, this is a bit off topic. I sitll find the killball in the middle an instant hit, and it reduces your lines of sight at the beginning so you don't get spawn killed!
I'm going to be honest with you here. I hate it. Two banshees seem very overwhelming. The pathways are long and have very little cover. There is almost no cover from the banshees rain of chaos. I understand that there are missle pods to counter the banshees, but the banshees get a ton of kills, or they immedietly get shot down. There should be walkways from the side paths to the center piece. I don't own the mythic map pack and can't test your map, but just by looking at this, I can tell it's a disaster. I have a natural talent of doing that. The aesthetics are nice though.
Actually this map has tunnels, pillars and an elevated level that provides protection from the banshees. However, the middle of the map makes people out there very vulnerable. I am hoping that he will add a plasma pistol or two (if he makes a v2), if so, then the middle of the map can be a death trap for flying vehicles because of the killball. I for one think that this map does well when it comes to balance.
I really like this map. It has nice easthetics and you're one of the few people who put filters to good use. However, scratch the killball. 1. It hurts gameplay. People just accidently strafe into it, a very unsatisfying death. Remove it or barricade it more. 2. It makes a VERY anoying sound. Seriously. 3. It's very bright (especialy with filters), and can blind people. Hurts gameplay. Just replace it with some shield doors. The rest of the map is good, you don't have to change that. If you fix the killball, I'll give it a 4.6/5
Nice map, however I'd recommend having a central Banshee-killer (Splazer, rockets, missile pod) rather than a Missile Pod at each base. With one Missile Pod and one Banshee at each base, both the Banshees will be destroyed as soon as they're entered.
May I recommend that you flip the banshees in the other direction? So that way if somebody gets in one faster than the other team they are not in an immediate position to annihilate the other banshee before a pilot is able to get in it? Aside from that I think your layout is brilliant and it looks like a great symmetrical map.
Looks good. I really like the pictures, and the way you created lighting is a plus. I haven't downloaded it yet so I can't give a full opinion, but for the most part it looks like it could be fun to play.
I put the killball in there to act as a kinda barrier between the 2 bases. people would also have to be carefull up there so they dont fall in, but you are right it is annoying and really bright but this is my second sandbox map so im still learnin the do's and dont's of sandbox.
I really like the map. Much better than the first version. For a V3, I recommend facing the banshees away from each other, and then add so me cover for the people entering the banshees. Along with that, switch the missile pods and the snipers, or making it so there is one sniper and one missile pod on the sides. As for the kill ball, I think it takes away from the gameplay a bit (and it really hurts your eyes if you are looking at the center), so I recommend making it lower so it doesn't stand out as much, but still has a presence. Overall, it is the best Sandbox map I've downloaded yet and definitely deserves more attention.

Did you use the gloomy effect? If so, nice job using it, it's almost unnoticeable. It looks like a sweet 2v2 map for competitive gameplay. I should get to downloading it.
Great Map, BTW: is it just me, because I don't like the tube pieces in sandbox. I don't know why, but it seems a bit gimmicky. I have seen very good maps with them but I tend to stay away from them in forge. hmmm?
This is just amazing. The aesthetics of the map are fantastic and the gloomy effect makes it look more awesome. Even with the Banshees, it is still a very balanced, competitive map with various routes and good weapon placement. If this doesn't get featured, then it deserves the downloads for definite. A masterpiece in my opinion. 5/5
Suggestions As I said on Midkill v1, you NEED to get rid of the Killball. You'd then have to change the name, but that's not too hard. The thing is blinding, very distracting, and unnecessary. And as a matter of opinion, I don't like the vehicles, but that's just me.
