Map Title: Mt Chiefmore Hail to the Chief! Download Map Description: This map is a takes a couple of double boxes from Foundry and turns it into something amazing: a giant replica of the Mark V helmet worn by Master Chief in Halo. Unlike Mt. Chiefmore 2 (Which I will edit into this as soon as I get a suitable picture), Mt. Chiefmore (1) has no worthwile gameplay value due to the "eggs" on the map, but yet is still fun to explore and marvel in the beauty of green crates. Special Thanks goes to SteelAssassn and CrappyNinja who helped me greatly with this map. Amazing first post eh? (someone will need to show me how to get a direct link to the download, I'm pretty newby)
I feel like I've seen this before.... Anyways, just by looking at the picture, I can see that this map suffers from it's lack of interlocking. The one wall at the top facing directly towards us looks really bad. If you interlocked it, it would look a lot better.
While to me it just looks like a pile o' boxes if you had of used more interlocking it could of looked alot better than it does now and Toonshorty don't flame him as I am sure he tried his best.
I'm making the interlocking changes on the volume two map; I'll get it posted once I work the kinks out of it. And as for the stupid crates at the front: That was to allow access into the helmet while retaining somewhat to the origional shape. I've got a better system now which should work nicely with an assualt gametype.
Wow, you guys are douche bags, always saying it is crappy epic fail for no interlocking. It does look like the mark helmet, a cool suggestion would be to add a bomb plant in the head for assault gametypes. <Edit: xD The guy who posted b4 me said exact same thing. =/
Without you telling me what it was, I wouldn't have recognized it. And yes, it suffers from lack of interlocking.
When I first see it,it looked like a regular custom map,but when I thought mark v and that map,it looks like it,nice job,but couldve been desighed better
i can see the helmet but it could definatly be better and if that is what the second version of this map is then i am looking forwards to it.
