    First, there was Convey. Then, there was Focus. Now, I bring you Focus v1.1!
    This map is inspired by Pallet Parade by Cosmic Rick. In Convey I originally focused on the map's conveyor belt, then built around that. But then in Focus (renamed it, so actually Convey 1.1) I added some more objects, such as two geomerged moveable crates and the second floor lifts, which brought more cover and flow within the gameplay. And now in Focus v1.1 I've totally redesigned the spawn system edited a few of the game objects, and more.

    Focus v1.1 is a small map made for small team battles. It's core value is to keep the player's nerves at the ready from lots of intense action going on all around them, causing them to "focus".

    Here's what the map includes:

    • Three levels, including a ground level, a middle level, and a third level.
    • A drop/lift area on each base for going from the ground level to the middle level
    • A side lift on each base for going from the middle level to the third level
    • A conveyor belt with an "ON" switch which makes the conveyor belt move. The conveyor belt has the width of a pallets length, which means it's wider than Pallet Parade, but not longer.
    • Symmetrical layout with nothing unsymmetrical besides the two Spikers (on the red side) and the two SMGs (on the yellow side)

    Here's what I changed:

    • Changed the spawn system so that players spawn in their given starting area, yet respawn away from enemy players.
    • Added Bridges and Single Boxes to keep players from getting out of the map.
    • Replaced a Bubble Shield with the Deployable Cover (at the yellow base).
    • Replaced a Bubble Shield with the Trip Mine (at the red base).
    • Replaced a Regenerator with the Power Drain (on the middle floor near the conveyor belt).
    • Added a BR on each side.
    • Added four Barriers for cover (on the middle floor near the conveyor belt).
    • Took away the two Regenerators (on the Ground Floor).
    • Took away the two Wire Spools (on the Ground Floor).
    • Added two barriers (on the Ground Floor).
    • Changed some of the weapon respawn times.

    How The Conveyor Belt Works:

    1. Grab the Overshield.

    2. This causes the Fusion Coil to drop into the ManCannon, which shoots the Fusion Coil and makes it explode, which causes the Pallets to break apart.

    3. The pallets respawn back here and are pushed forward by Gravity Lifts below the Bridge. The Gravity Lift above the Bridge is meant to push any layered pallets off.

    4. The Pallets go through the small tunnel and keep going as long as the Overshield is gone. The Overshield respawns after 180 seconds.

    The map looks brilliant, i will definitly DL this to check it out later on and I'll try and get some friends to play with me and get back to you.

    BTW I still can't see how the conveyor belt works =/

    It looks great to me, but i'm still a bit confused on how the conveyor belt works
    does it just keep sliding pallets along a loop? I will defiantly DL & Check it out,
    i really love the idea of a conveyor belt :D

    man if you can make the conveyor belt you should try remakin elongation on sandtrap... this is a download for me.

    It's amazingly hard to build a conveyor belt. I had to rebuild the side walls of the conveyor belt at least three times, then I had to mess around with the Pallets respawn times for like a whole hour just to get it right. AND I had to mess around with the Gravity Lift placements a lot, because they weren't pushing the Pallets sometimes, then sometimes there would be 2 or 3 pallets clogged up in the tunnel.

    So your idea of making elongation? No. I wouldn't be able to stand it.

    This map is the hardest map I've ever made.

    Oh wow, i saw the link to this in your sig, and it was well worth the click. I've seen this pallet trick before on Pallet Parade awhile back, (like last summer or something) and it carried grenades through the level. This seems to work well with your map and I can't believe how I got an aesthetic-orgasm when i saw the first couple pics. Very great success
