Pesonally, I think Sandbox maps look incredibly boring without a screen effect or lights, All one color is pretty boring. Discuss! (Idk if I put this in the right place, but it seems so)
It seems like the right place since this is a debate, but I believe it should belong in the discussion section. Never the less. I do not like the fact that all the objects are the same color, orange and brown can get rather bland to the eye. (Not to say that a color sphere is orange) It would have been nice to add a Forerunner theme to it, or even the foundry theme. But still remember the saying "beggars can't be choosers"
I would love sandbox to be a bit brighter. It gets pretty annoying! I am okay with how it is. I just hate it when I try to get someone from afar.
I would like choosable textures or at least just some differing colours like with Avalanche's box objects. But I don't think this belongs in this forum even if it is a debate as it is about Halo.
What I'm getting at by this is if anyone thinks maps without orbs and effects just look boring, cause they do to me
They don't look boring or drab to begin with but after time and after playing them or forging them many times it can seem like no matter what anyone does to the map it will always just be the same. It would be good if you could choose effects such as weather effects or time of day. The only problem with that would be map pack download times and loading times for maps. Also how smoothly they would play as there would be so much more to do in the map the game might just pack in.
This is all part of Bungie's plan. Make most objects in Sandbox orange or brown. Then their customers will be begging for another map pack with a better forge map. Then it repeats the cycle. Forever.
