    Welcome To Woodwork, a symmetrical arena styled map put to the style of a structure made of wood. Woodwork supports all gametypes, and plays well with most of them. Some gametypes I would recommend are Slayer, King of the Hill, Capture the Flag, and Assault.

    Though this map is rather claustrophobic, it has many weapons, which include...

    • x8 Spikers
    • x2 Battle Rifles
    • x2 Covenant Carbines
    • x4 Brute Shots
    • x2 Shotguns
    • x2 Power Drains
    • x4 Plasma Grenades
    • x4 Frag Grenades
    • x1 Rocket Launcher

    Although said many times before, this map creates a truly unique style of gameplay, where teamwork is the key. During slayer, both teams spawn in different corners, being across from each other. If a team wants to prevail, they must rush the the same corner to eliminate their threats.

    The problem with this technique is that there's still the other half of the team behind you. With the time you took to attack the one side, the other side has already armed up on weapons, and has the element of suprise.

    This reason I chose to make the gameplay this way is to make it so that there's no right way to start the fight. You're allowed to do what you want at the beginning, and still reign victorious.

    wow, looks pretty good, i like how you built the map around the main structure...and the weapon placement looks good from wwhat i can see...the only problem is that there really isnt that much cover...

    fix that and it will be good

    I tried to add as much cover as I could, without making it seem that there's a wall covering you all the time.

    This map looks very good. I love the style of wood through the whole map, and the centerpiece is magnificent. The ideas with the tubes will execute very well in gameplay, and it reminds me of the half of pit with the shotties and the invis just flipped on both sides. The only thing that may get annoying is falling off. With the wood theme, I know this is tough considering the item limit, but you could get imaginative, such as pallets to the sides of the bridge with weapon holders or teleporters holding them up. This would add another aspect to the gameplay, allowing people to get knocked off by blowing up the pallets and fix the falling off. 4.5/5

    I gotta say, that looks like alot of weapons for such a small map, and the powerweapons seem too... overpowered. Since there is no walls, the rocket can hit just about anywhere on the map, and with good accuracy since its pretty small.

    And 2?!?! shotguns, the map seems a little to small for that. try to illongate the map by like double.

    But i do like the rockets in the middle for risk vs reward. There is so little cover that you could easily get four/five shotted from a br easily, but if you get the rockets its worth it. I would make the shotties not spawn in tunnels, places with lot of cover, small places, and good cover. The perfect camping place with the shotty spawning there. I would suggest that you make the shotty spawn farther away from the map in a place rarely gone with very small cover. That would be better. just my ideas

    The whole reason I added the power drains is to eliminate the threat of the Shotguns. If used properly, you can throw one in the Shotgun camper's little corner and follow up with a well thrown grenade to finish him. The Shotgun spawn is about 45 seconds (sort of long), and contains no back-up shots, so you're stuck with what you got.

    Themed maps have always been my favorite, and this looks great. The center structure area looks very nicely interlocked, so nice job on that. But idk about 2 shotguns AND a rocket launcher on a map this small. Maybe take one of the shotguns away or delete the rocket launcher. I can't tell for sure though because I can't download it. Other than that it looks very good.

    Well the prob with he shotguns is that there are two and the map is small, by the good thing is that it is very open so whoever had the shotty might get killed from a ways away... My suggestoin is to make another level , kinda like what is on narrows... The upper bridge part, try to make different routes.

    This looks really cool with the wood floors. Very good aesthetically but the gameplay is questionable with all of the power weapons. Also, 45 sec. isn't a long respawn for a shotty, lol. Try taking some out and this map would be a blast for CTF and Neutral Assault

    The weapons and spawns need help, but the map does look pretty. I dig the aesthetic, and the center structure is pretty cool. As I was walking around on it though I became concerned of the lack of railings. Theres a lot of unnecessary jumping as well. This will probably lead to a lot of people falling to their death.

    ya definately fix some small walls or put some other platforms in...and if the shotguns are on 45 sec respawn then that is a problem, make them like 120 or 180

    the map itself looks awesome, and you can just see how it would play well with slayer, ctf and oddball.

    excellent map layout and aesthetics.

    Yea, this is actually my first attempt at making a competitive symmetric map. I'm still trying to get a hang of weapon placement. I'm used to making infection maps where the weapons are in random places and over-powered.

    I REALLY like this map. I usually hate it when people use the wooden pieces, but in here you used it well. Congrats- you got my DL and a solid 5/5!

    45 seconds is seriously not enough, especially for a map this size.
    It should be either two or three minutes to spawn in my opinion.
