Foundry Street

    STREET
    Hello evryone. I'm back with my second map and the last one on Foundry for a while. As usual, criticize and comment, and rate so I can make a more formulated and exact V2. Thank you and enjoy Street!​

    DESCRIPTION

    Street is a fairly large, symmetric-based map that very good for team games, and plays anything but infection. Team games like Team Slayer, CTF, Assault, Territories, and etc. are very good on this map. The scale of this map ranges from the low dark back alleyways in the shadows of the buildings towering over them to the high rooftops of a hotel. The balance flows nicely, as the buildings look different, but are equally fit to match both teams. There are 6 buildings: A hotel, a bar, a gas station, a department store, and 2 little warehouses. The overall asthetic touches to this map are very pleasing to the eye. The building walls are interlocked completely perfect, and the floors are practically bumpless. It's unbreakable too. It took a whopping 72 hours to make and is one of my best yet.​

    STORYLINE

    You and squad rush into the heart of the Russia's capital, Moscow. It's WWIV, and Russia along with many other places have been bombed and bombarded with artillery of all sorts from all places around the globe. You, a insurgent of the Yermakov commision, rush to a street that has yet to feall to the nuclear deathbringers. Civilians have fled the country and there is not one sign of life in the god damn ghost town. You don't settle too easy too that. But what the hell, **** it, and you move up to capture the small city. But a Covenant Corvette Supercarrier flies overhead. You have not met the covenant yet. This is their first arrival. They will stop at nothing to kill you, for whatever the reason. Now you have a new enemy to face and don't back down now, because this will ultimately be your grave...​

    hat no infection you should add infection looks great for infection and everything else to i like all the different buildings

    I always love a good urban themed map, and the ascetics on this on are very good, though the two mini warehouses seems a bit barebones. I will download and hopefully play a few games on it before I forget to post a real review of the gameplay once I have. Back to ascetics, I really like the exit to the hotel roof (the one out of doors) it looks great. The gas station roof is cool too. I also like the curved entrance to the bar. That's all I can say before I actually see how it plays.

    This looks pretty good from what I can tell in the screens.. got a nice natural look to it that complements Foundry well. I'm a big fan of Urban styled maps, so I'm gonna have to take a closer look at this and hopefully get some games on it this weekend if I can find the time. Nice work.

    I can see this map on my download list =) The symmetrical factor of this map makes me smile because youve put the same weapons on each side for perfect fairness, one side may have different heights, advantages and disadvantages but this is a well made map. One thing though, you could use some more interlocking than just the bar (thats all i saw) 8/10

    You must look harder, like the warehouses, the hotel roof, the department store roof, etc. Much of the interlocking has been done relatively discreetly so as not to detract from the map's ascetic value.

    hello to all replies: thnks. now for the map. Thnaks for all the comments and support im glad you like it just remember if you didnt read it on the post that EVERYTHING is INTERLOCKED. im not bragging but if you take time to look at that you see i have put maybe 2 days into just friggin walls! they turned out good in the end though. And yes i will try and add a infection game (i reached da item limit so itll be hard thats y i didnt in the 1st place) and for the second guy those warehouses are just for flag and bomb spawns they have a carbine but theyre supposed 2 be rly othin in like slayer and ffa and stuff like that. But thank you all so much and I hope you like and Download my map.

    The map looks great. I love how it has an urban feel to it. Anyways, the forging is great and the asthertics rae pretty good. The gameplay looks like it would be pretty good, but I would probably move the trip mine away from the rocket. Whoever reached their first could easily destroy the other team if they got the warthog, and then not have to worry about vegicles and get easy killing sprees, so maybe jst move the trip mine. Also, how much ammo do the shotguns and smipers have. If they have too much the map could seem overpowered. Anyways, I will DL and see how the map plays. 4.2/5 for now. :)

    I like this alot. One of the best urban themed maps Ive seen.This whole layout is very interesting and there seems to be alot of close combat yet roof to roof long range. Thats great. My only discomfort is the 2 shotguns. With such closed quarters, the shotgun is very powerful and campable. How many clips do they have, because a player with only medium skill can pull off a kill with every shot. 2 spare clips times 2 shotguns equals 36 shotgun shells, which is well over half the game of slayer. You should post the respawn rates and spare clip amounts with the weapon list. Other than that I really like this map. Good job.

    I 1v1'd my friend on this, and let me say. This is an amazing map. I liked the weapon placement, and the aesthetics of the buildings. I REALLY liked that curved hallway leading into the bar. Very creative. The 2 problems I really had, were this: My friend ke[t getting the shotties and going all n00bie on me. The other thing was, when you spawn in the street, you're EXTREMELY vulnurable. I could see my friend spawn at the other end of the street after I killed him. Please replace the shotties with maulers with 0 extra clips, and I'll be happy. :)

    hey did a quick forgetrough of the map. the design is great and i love the urabn idea. but one thing you should check out is that the map is easily escapable. i can think of three different ways off the top of my head. you may wanna check that out

    the map is NOT Escapable dude tell me how and ill fix them and the ill fix the clips for the snipers and shottys and ill think about switching the shotty for a mauler. K stay with it cuz a V2 is on the way
