Okay, so i think that the forging 101 thread is useful, it really helped me out, but how about seeing these tricks and helpful tips in person? That's why I'm starting this up, to help those who want to see it, not read it. I am starting a forge teaching program for 2 Saturdays a month. This will teach you all the tricks and everything I know on how to forge, including merging and interlocking.
This Tutorial will cover the following things:
    Merging
    Budget Glitch
    Interlocking
    Flotation
    Weapon Placement
    Spawn Point Placement
    Instant Object Respawn
    Non-Static Object Floating
    Teleporter Placement
And More so sign up! I am trying to get as many great maps out there as i can, because i have met many people with great potential, who don't know the tricks, and my friends ask me all the time, "Hey, do you know how to do this?" And most of the time my answer is "Yes, here i will teach you." And I'm not a great map-maker, even though i know all the tricks. So if you need help Forging Sign Up!!
To Contact me either enter your Xbox live Gamertag in this thread,

Darkhell I think if you want to make this a success you need to show us some credentials... especially your knowledge on spawn points. I can help teach, but I want to make sure that you know what you are doing, cuz there are very few people that understand spawn points like myself or those that I have taught.

We do not really need this. Forgehub has its own videos. It's called FORGING 101.
It pretty helpful and it explains it very well.

However there are alot more techniques that forging 101 does not cover... the most important of these is proper spawn placement... the 101 on that was horrible... Also Forging 101 doesn't cover path manipulation, incentives, threat zones/line of sight, combat dispersion, etc...

And adding on to that, some people learn things better first-hand, because the videos may still confuse them after they watch it. Having a person there to help out allows them to see what they do wrong more effectively and they can understand when they make a mistake.

It's just another way to learn something, but this might be better for some people. For instance, I tell my firends to use forging 101 and the videos, but they still prefer that I teach them in person in an actual forge game.

I had learned a lot by myself, withought forging 101 nor others help. It tooks me severals months to get the hang of forge though, and if you had an instructor to help you out, I garuntee you understanding of gamplay and forge will increase dramaticly.

Indeed, the best way to learn how to do these things for yourself is through experimentation, and the best way to get better is through practice. It's a novel idea, but I don't think it'd work that well. Besides, as people keep saying, you need to show some credentials before people will believe that you know what you're doing, and most people on ForgeHub already know all this stuff.

    Merging = interlocking?

Also...I would sign up to some classes on weapon and spawn placement. I'm trying to make a symmetrical map myself...
