Looking for help with respawn points and general map balancing

    Hey there!

    I am nearing completion on my first attempt at forging and I daresay it's not too shabby for a first shot! The map is based on Avalanche and is first and foremost a King of the Hill centered arena, focusing on one behemoth of a tower - from which the map acquired its name.

    After having put ~60 hours into this map over the past two months I believe that I have most of the geometry of the map down pat. However, I seem to lack the knack for good respawn point placement! At the moment I have just scattered the respawn points seemingly at random in clusters of 2-4 - copying the look of most of Bungie's maps' respawn areas. In theory it seemed like it would work, but in practice... it just isn't what I expected.

    I have also matched up several odd combinations of weaponry for each team - Team 1 has a sniper rifle with only one clip, an overshield, and a bubble shield whilst Team 2 has a shotgun (likewise, one clip), a regenerator, and an active camouflage. I did this in hopes of making this map less symmetrical (and it is oh so asymmetrical), but I really just don't know if it will work out.

    All in all I am in search of someone who has some (hopefully plenty) knowledge of setting up spawns and would be willing to aid me with working out some quirks on my map!

    I play most every night from 9 or 10 PM PST until 3 or 4 AM.

    Thanks, after many attempts trying to figure out for myself how to create it I finally went on Youtube and found someone to help me out, =P xCSKxBenzx came to my rescue and helped me with the drawbridge as well as many other parts of my map!

    At the moment for weapons I have:

    Team A:
    Rockets
    Sniper
    Brute Shot
    Shotgun

    Team B:
    Rockets
    Sniper
    Brute Shot
    Shotgun

    Neutral (out of tower):
    2x BR
    Shotgun
    Sniper

    Neutral (in tower):
    Fuel Rod Gun
    Spartan Laser
    Mauler
    BR
    Brute Shot
    Sniper
    Firebomb Grenade

    Starting weapons are BR/AR

    Each team also has a warthog, 2 mongeese, 2 turrets guarding the entrances to their bases and a hornet that spawns 60 seconds into the match as an alternate means of assaulting the tower.

    How about a spawn on top of the tower?

    Not too much cover, but likewise, a pretty good view too shoot people with.
    Whoever is on top, will be easy too shoot, and be shot by.

    I can help you fix up your spawns and weapon balancing... I'm glad you realize that architecture isn't everything... PM me on here or send me a msg on XBL and I will make room on my FL to help you out...
