Once a therad is deleted, it drops your post count down by howmany times you posted in that thread. basially those posts never existed.
Once a thread is deleted, your post count returns to what it was at before. So when the mods hit genral Chat, and delete all the spam, then yes, the post counts will go back to normal. There is no need to remove post count for a prank.
