Plexus Made by Bixed An asymmetrical map with symmetrical features, Plexus is a completely enclosed map that features a network of tunnels. Supports a variety of team-based objective gametypes, as well as slayer. Make no mistake, despite being an indoor map, feeling cramped-in is never an issue. What sets Plexus apart from other indoor Foundry maps are the several different pathways. The result is an easily traversed network of rooms and tunnels; a Plexus. Supported Gametypes: Team Slayer Team Oddball King of the Hill Multi Flag One Flag Assault One Bomb Recommended for 4-8 Players Weapon List: Battle Rifle x4 Carbine x2 Brute Shot x1 Needler x1 Spiker x4 Shotgun x1 (One spare clip) Plasma Grenade x4 Frag Grenade x2 Bubble Shield x3 (2 are set to Respawn "Never" and one is set to spawn 60 seconds into the game) Regenerator x1 Story: Once a thriving underground black market, it was deserted as the citizens of New Mombasa fled their city when the Covenant invaded Earth in search of the Ark. Now, the empty tunnels serve as a battleground. Description: Plexus is a COMPLETELY ENCLOSED map that utilizes every single immovable object available (with exception to shield doors, weapon holders, teleporters, and one Sign A). Plexus is intended for fast paced team games. The network of tunnels are the highlight of this map. Both teams start with a bubble shield that never respawns, which leads to tactical opening maneuvers. Aesthetics were compromised to complete this map; I had to use every single object I could for finishing the ceiling. The interior, however, is nicely interlocked and players should be able to get around quite easily. Screenshots: It's pretty hard to grasp the feel of this map with words. It's actually pretty hard to explain the layout with screenshots too. Playing on the map would be the best way to grasp the layout and feel. With limited views and angles, I could only fit so much in each screen, so I stuffed this thread with as many screenshots as I could. Nice map, although it does seem a bit crammed by looking at the pics, but anyways the map,s interlocking looks smooth (some what) I would recommend that you learn or use geomerging to make the map cleaner other than that it seems like a good map for a beginner.
Nice to see an original concept on foundry. Looks very clean and well interlocked. Only suggestions are to make some more cover up top (a lil' too open for my taste), and block off the back part if its not being used. Other than that good map! 3.5/5 I'll dl it and see how it plays
The last two pictures are of the map HEAVILY stripped down. Pretty much all of the walls and all of the ceiling was removed to better illustrate the layout. It's so big that I couldn't fit the entire layout on one screen, let alone with the clutter that the ceiling creates. Sorry if I wasn't clear about that.
Very unique map. Smooth interlocking, but like Wailingjam said, learn to geomerge. It'll help you so much. You've earned my download . 8.5/10
I did use geomerging, but only when necessary. I don't think unnecessary geomerging would have helped this map out much. I think the only way to really understand the layout is to take a stroll around the map. The pictures don't capture the feel of the map too well.
