Naturally foundry is a nasty, dirty old warehouse. So i set out to make a small symmetrical map that wouldnt look like foundry, it would look like its own level. To do this, i had to use a lot of interlocking. I did my best on this map and considering 90% of this map involves interlocking, i think i did a fairly nice job. This is my first map that has used this humungous amount of interlocking, so therefore, it may not be as polished as some of you couldve made it. please do not give me crap for this, try to give me some constructive critisism. i made a video of my map to make sure you see all aspects of it. The video does not have sound so i am here now to explain some things about it. When i zoom in on the teleporters on the sides, i am showing where they lead to. not too complicated. Weapons: 10 Battle rifles 2 needlers 2 smgs 2 plasma rifles 4 spike grenades 2 plasma grenades 2 firebomb grenades 4 frag grenades 4 spikers 1 oversheild 1 bubble sheild 1 deployable cover When playing this map, i noticed a few things: 1. The halo 2 combo of smg/ plasma rifle, it owns on this level. 2. Use strategy when entering the water hole, it can really play to your advantage when used correctly. 3. Cycle through this map, meaning when you kill someone, reload while going through the teleporters. Also by doing this, the oversheid spawns fast, so you have a good chance of getting it. Another thing about the teleporters is, if you are down in the water hole, when the defender spawns, they wont be able to see that your in there. 4. Remember to use radar, can be useful when in water hole, or to catch someone in the trench. 5. Be causious when running around in the trench, there are fusion coils, lurking around corners, you never know what a random grenade can do to you. This looks pretty cool, I don't have time to watch the video at the moment though. Im going to download and see how it plays.
yah the video is about 2 minutes, it shouldnt take long to load up though, it loads fast and my computers iq is like 3.7 but anyways, the interlocking around the center of the map was a lil rough, but i smoothed it up by putting barrels in the empty spaces, along with fusion coils and pallets. played really smooth when i tested it. try to leave feedback, once you play it, so i know what to improve on. thanks
Really, ima have to check that out. EDIT: yah after seeing unchained, i kinda see the resemblence, but this isnt as complex as that is though. This map i was going for a more straightforward run and gun type map. thanx for the commments guyz, try to tell what you dont like about it, if there is something you dont llike.
this looks very cool but it seems like it doesnt play very well because of the sheild doors in the water hole but i like the circle 5/5 looks and gameplay 2/5
