The Save and quit bug with Sandbox is getting me really fustrated. I make everything really neat and even and when I go back in its all shaken and corrupt. Does anyone have any options they can tell me so I can fix this. I am forging in the air because the middle has sand which doesnt allow Gnades to bounce, and the basement walls are not straight. Is Bungie looking into fixing this or is Sandbox just going to be horrible for forging? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alright I starting playing around a lot more in forge and found when the problem happens. IF YOU FLIP ANY SCENERY ONTO ITS SIDE THE TILT WILL NOT HAPPEN AFTER YOU SAVE AND QUIT. ON SANDBOX. Remember that only if the object is on its side, so you can have it upside-down without the objext tilting. Although this doesnt solve the problem atleast people can steer away from it. Hope this helps, -Decker
I was really disappointed when I saw/heard that there were issues with Forge on Sandbox of all maps. I really hope the crooked-ness bug gets sorted out soon, or I will be very sad.
Use "Block, Tall" and "Block, Huge" for floors in the skybubble. They don't end up crooked after you save and quit.
I know that there is a way around the problem, but the fact remains....sometimes you WANT to use the 'Walls' as 'Floors' for certain purposes. Just because there is a way around a problem doesn't mean it shouldn't be fixed.
I don't like using walls as floors. Personally I think all the floating maps in the skybubble should be at least 2 boxes off the grid. Think of Guardian or Blackout. If you ever fall off the edge, you don't die immediately. You have a second to chuck one last grenade in the playing field. If you have just a wall set right on the grid, you die immediately if you fall off.
On some maps, if it's badly forged, or has poor interlocking along the grid, you'll be running along normally then randomly die, despite being on a floor.
just stack two boxes on top of each other and build your map on that. You can build a whole plat form or do it one by one.
Its not the fact that a floor is touching or not touching the grid. I have put a double wall atop a double block and still the wall will tilt. AlthoughI havent tried making my first floor 3 layers above the grid only 1 layer in my case couse its suppose to be the basement of my map. I will get back to you after I try that out. -Decker
This bug hasn't happened to me on it..... then again i only made one map on sandbox but i used walls as floor and used ALOT of interlocking.

If you're using bracers, I'd recommend keeping bracers on even after you save and quit. Then, once you start it up again, delete the bracers. This should make the objects more permanent.
No its just a bug on the map cant really fix it, you can only avoid it. Just make sure that when using scenery for a floor you cant have it flipped onto its side. -Decker
I found if you pull the walls up against something to save and quit them the floors turn out a lot better. I did this for a majority of one of the floors for the map I'm working on and it turned out quite nice, with just regular interlock bumps.
sadface I thought sandbox would be perfect. Spoiler Alright, not perfect. But at least not this imperfect. Another sadface
