    Surface Tension
    [Forged by Lientenant Duck]

    Recommended Players: 1 to 4
    Recommended Gametype: Slayer

Surface Tension is the first map i have ever uploaded to ForgeHub. (It took me a long time to find out how to do this properly) This race will take you through out Foundry. There is plenty of neat merging (not to much) included in this map. I hope this race course makes a great hit to the community and maybe even the Featured Maps (If race maps can even get there)

I'm sorry for the small pictures, but if someone could tell me how to make them bigger, im sure that i edit that.

    Please Comment and Rate.

EDIT: The Pictures were not working before (i didn't know how to upload them properly, now i do, thanks RaBBiiTTT!) and now they are.

This is the beginning of the race. Players take their 'mongeese' and head down the ramp and take their first turn into a Man Cannon Jump. When (and if) you land the jump properly, it will lead you into the Fence Arc.

The Fence Arc will test your skill in mongoose driving. You will need to stay in the lead and stay on the Fence Arc. After the Fence Arc is the Center Pathway.

The Center Pathway is made up of double boxes and runs straight through the center of the race course. At the end of the Center Pathway there is a Shield Wall Jump, this jump will launch you up to the Bridge Jump which in turn will lead you through the Hallways of Foundry and then to the Box Path.

Upon exiting the box path, there will be the Fusion Coil Trail, if you hit a fusion coil hard enough... After the Fusion Coil Trail, the path leads you underneath the Center Pathways Shield Wall Jump, and onto the Finish Line.

The Finish Line is a mix of Bubble Shields and Regenerators. After you've beaten all of your friends, there is a Sender Node that brings you back to the beginning of the race.

Your pics are not working. I saw them in your Bnet Service Record but I can only see that small preview of it and when I click it, it shows that weird guy. I suggest taking them again and follow the instructions HERE

Based on the little pics I saw, the map looks okay. Basic layout but it could use more pathways and possibly a higher road. Good luck on the pics.

Well, it looks good, but what do you mean it sends you back to the start? Does that mean it's not a continuous loop? Anyway, most of it looks great, so 8/10.

I like your layout, design and ideas, however in race maps, there is one essentia thing you've missed. The gametype. Here's one. Halo 3 File Details You need to set up the VIP points for it to work, at the finish line. Once you've done that you need to make it cheat proof, using teleporters and man cannons. Also the tele to start can interrupt gamplay flow.

I'm not a racing fan but I do know how a track should look, some of the turns are a little too tight or unclear (fusion coils?), also you should be able to go fast because thats what people want to do on a race map. You can work on making the lanes wider too to better improve your map, for now I give your map a 2/5

its great in parts, especially the fence bridge area, although i dont think a maze of fusion coils are a good idea - if one person crashes, the whle race is over basically. also i'd reccomend putting an uncheatable finish line.

The fusion coils look pointless in this map because there is nothing stopping someone from just ignoring the turn completely and going straight through them.

i like the fence wall turn, it is clean and smooth, but also very easy to cheat on. I also recommend a continuous loop rather than a one time route. It brings a longer more competitive aspect to the game, not just go once.
