So you're saying the bottom half is similar? That's it? When we say map stealing, we mean people taking your map, claiming it as their own, maybe moving around a couple of things. What you are saying does not qualify as stealing if I'm correct, it's just unfortunate influence.

Wouldn't the time stamp of the file share item and your forgehub.com map post be good enough to prove that it is yours? If someone steals an incomplete version of your map (such as during testing), then you could always prove them wrong by having a complete version posted intead. OR, even better, put that alpha/beta test version of the map in your file share as you test and change it. Keep updating your file share with the new version as often as you like. That way, if someone steals one of these versions, you have proof in your file share that you posted it first with the time stamp! I'm a genius.... I mean, I'm a dumb cat. Yeah... lolz. --dc

Personally, I hide one thing somewhere in my maps that only I could know about...think of it as a watermark. It also doesn't hurt to put your initials in the map description...any idiot that steals a map never changes the description....usually. Thats how I was able to catch someone stealing my map End of the Line....
Hi there, i have only just read this. I'm amazed you think we stole some of your map. I can tell you honestly that me or sik have never set eyes on your map before. I made a house a few months back which was a hit with my mates online but was nothing like the bart's manor of today. i teamed up with Sik and spent hours upon hours with him planning and making our map. It's up to you weather you believe me or not and i couldn't care less either way but i can asure you that from my point of view we did not steal your map.
Wow, everybody is stealing TrickMysters maps! Ive never seen any of his maps but they must be really good for people to steal them.
Yeh dude your right because iv seen allot of people get a map like the swings maybe put a little changes and change the name to like The Swings V2 and call it their own
Thats the plus side to having a "glitched" map, there isn't much people can really add to the map if you delete everything thats unused.
I have to say I'm pretty shocked to find foundless accusations flying around the web about us. I've never heard of you, I've never played with you, and yet you feel that Bart and I supposedly "stole" your map. This map took us an absolute age for us to build, and it's 100% ours from scratch. I would love to hear the results of the moderators "looking into this" as it's totally unfounded.
It bewilders me how people try to steal maps and claim them as their own. A lot of these people couldn't even describe how half of these maps on forgehub were created. If you ever come across someone attempting to steal your map, let a moderator know. Give them a link to your map and the thief. It is against the rules over at the B-net forums, and a user will be given a "vacation" for it, as well as their thread being locked.
i only use maps if they are downloadable and i dont steal the idea let me give you an example i used gbwl08 so i wouldnt have to seal it of (i suck at that stuff) and i made a pirate ship for in fection in the middle :squirrel_rubberduck:
I was playing custom games and someone put on a good map with nice, neat interlocking and map geometry, and he claimed that he made it. Seeing as he asked me how I got the boxes and walls to merge together earlier, I got a tad suspicious,but didn't say anything until afterwards when I looked into it and the map still said it was made by someone else. I messaged him about it, and as I expected...no comment. I hate map stealers, people need to learn how to do their own work.
lol that SaLoT person posted a threat on bungie sayin his map had 200+ downloads but only had about 10 then when someone pointed it out he removed it and got all touchy about it.
