Ok, so I made a map, set the forge gametype to 'capture the flag' and deleted the current flag holders on foundry and placed my own. but when I play CTF with the map, the flags are still there. So I reload forge, set the gamemode to CTF, and the flag holders are back, so im like "WTF" and I delete them. but the flag still spawns there and they keep coming back no matter how many times I delete the holder!
There always needs to be at least a certain amount of "Goal Items" on maps. Deleting them doesn't work as they need to be there. If you are playing CTF, why are you deleting the flags? Oh, you said you placed your own? What did you set them to?
You must have a flag spawn and flag return for both defenders and attackers. If any of these are missing the game will "create" them in the default places. This is why canvas' always have objective points.
I had the same probelm too. In assault, I had 1 bomb plant point for defending team and 1 bomb spawn for attacking team. However when I played, a random baomb spawn point came out of nowhere... Can someone clear this up for us?
Huh, well I only want single flag CTF... basicly, the attackers start in a room and must take the main way across or the 2 side tunnels. so I dont want a flag spawn and drop off for both teams...
It won't. The gametype knows what to do for One Flag; the Defenders will always have it. You have to keep both sets of flag spawn/return points, and Bungie has is set to make sure you do. If your map is only made for One Flag, just move the Attackers set out of the map's play area. Just make sure you use your team starting points and respawn areas so the Attacking Team doesn't respawn in the Defender Base.
