This is my first post so tell me if I need to fix anything.

Here's a link to the map: Halo 3 File Details

    Tundra v1

Gametypes: slayer, team slayer, neutral assault, multi-flag
    (suits 4-8 players)

Description: Tundra is a symmetrical map on Foundry. It contains some interlocking/merging. At the center of the map is an iceberg like structure, with a rocket launcher on top and a path beneath. One side of the map contains a shotgun cubby, while the other side has an elevated sniper path. The two ends contain identical bases. (This map cuts off the two bases of Foundry.)

    Weapons/Equipment:

    • Battle Rifle X8
    • SMG X4
    • Plasma Pistol X2
    • Plasma Rifle X2
    • Frag Grenades X8
    • Plasma Grenades X8
    • Mauler X4
    • Sniper X1
    • Rocket Launcher X1 (no spare clips)
    • Shotgun X1
    • Bubble Shield X2
    • Regenerator X1
    • Power Drain X1

Tundra is best used in games where players spawn with an assault rifle and a magnum. Please leave any suggestions for how to improve this map for a version 2. If you want to send a message to me Rabbiddog11. This was made by me and stretchyman12. Enjoy!

I am now working on a v2 of Tundra. It will be renamed because of Bungie's Tundra, as mentioned by Felshot. I am looking for people to suggest ideas to help improve the map, and/or help with the forging/interlocking/geomerging. All ideas are welcome!

i dunno... average map. it doesn't have much cover and most of the level is very low. what i do like about the map is that it looks pretty solid in it's simplicity and what you did with the shield door in the "iceberg", how it's barely even noticeable.

i think you need a v2. for example, perhaps add more cover, and more stuff at a higher elevation [perhaps a kind of tower at each side].

Hello and welcome to forgehub. Congrads on posting a map correctly. Now on to the map. I'm sorry to say this but this looks like it has been done before. Question: Is this supposed to be MLG? Anyways....If you added interlocking and geomerging your map would look better. If you don't know what they are look here:
    http://www.forgehub.com/forum/forging-101/973-interlocking-objects.html
    and here:
    http://www.forgehub.com/forum/forging-101/1722-merging-immovable-objects-map-geometry.html

So i have to give the map a 3/5.
EDIT: There is some Interlocking but still it needs more.

I don't mean to really bother, but the name has already been taken. Ofcourse it's not really well known because it's part of the mythic map back, but the other tundra was made by bungie. When you make the v2 I would suggest changing the name.

I hope youre not serious with that question about it being MLG. The weapons list clearly contains weapons not associated with MLG and also equipment, which is not allowed in MLG. Period.

Congratulations on a successful first post OP. I would recommend making something more complex and challenging next time. Im glad you used interlocking but there are some parts of your map that could play better if you included geomerging. Such as open boxes or boxes along the walls.

Anyways the map is pretty simple but looks clean enough. Keep forging dude.

this looks like a decent map. The main problem is that it doesn't contain much cover and people with the sniper would absolutely dominate. I would suggest either adding cover to the map or maybe switching it up a bit. Maybe have a couple vehicles in the map so that the lack of objects is ok since the vehicles need space. You may have to switch the rockets with a laser to balance gameplay. Just an idea. The bases look pretty nice but could use some astetic upgrades. I like the sniper perch with the wall corners tilted. Right now it gets a 3.5/5 but make a version 2 and fix some things and your looking at at least a 4.
    Chow!

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions! I have looked over the ideas you guys had for a v2, and I wil probably use some. I have to agree with ExploretheGore that a good sniper cold dominate. I will try to add more cover, but when you play the map it doesn't feel that open, especially if you play 2v2 like one of our test games. I am definitely going to add some geomerging and/or interlocking to spice up the map and the asthetics. I also will change the name, becuase I do now remember Bungie showing us Tundra. Thanks for all of the feedback!
