This is Mafia. I created this game to match what I used to play on Coagulation in Halo 2. This is a new version of the original mafia map. It is very similar, but the bugs have been straightened out, and some of the features have been redesigned. It is similar to Cops and Robbers, but the cop arrests the Mafia members for doing something wrong. Official Rules are below. The gametype allows for the Mafia Member to be killed and turn into a cop, which makes teaming up on the last man standing fun and challenging, as the last man standing also runs at 300%. The custom powerup gives you a max of 150%. The sequel to Mafia, Mafia 2, is available here One rule that is helpful: NO GUESTS ALLOWED, except if the party leader has a guest. You must have a microphone, so that you can give orders if you're a cop, or tell a cop that you are going to jail. If you don't have a microphone when you play this game, it does not play correctly, and chaos erupts. "Mafia v2" Map Variant "Mafia" Gametype This is best played with 4-6 players. How the game works Mafia spawn up in their sky base. Cop spawns in or outside the Police Station (The Blue Base). The Cop must watch for them to do something wrong, and go arrests them. He can use force if necessary. Locations: 1) The Jail is located in the Red base, and the teleporter to the jail is located on the left side of the Police Station. To be released from jail, the cop can remove the crate from the teleporter in the middle of the Police Station with a gravity Hammer. 2) Extra weapons are located in the hallway in the Police Station that needs to be opened with the button. 3) The Mafia Base is floating in the sky, and can be flown up to with a new elevator system. Just walk into the mancannon, and it should launch you up far enough to move forward onto the platform. 4) Another small Mafia base is located in the back area of the map, just use the mancannon to jump up onto it. 5) Drugs are located through the teleporter in the back area of the map, past the red base, on top of the second small Mafia base. Basic Rules: 1) No Driving off the roads, 2) No carrying "drugs," (See below for list of drugs) 3) No attacking cops or killing other Mafia Members. 4) Mafia members may not use banshees. Drugs are: 1) Plasma pistol-Marijuana 2) Magnum-Cocaine 3) Needler-Crystal Meth. More rules: 1) Cops may never attack a Mafia Member unless that person is trying to assassinate them, or are being defiant. 2) Cops may ask for people to stop at any time, but only if the person may be not following the rules. It IS possible to break out of jail, and it can include the death penalty if the escapee is found by the cop. It is much harder now with the update though... 3) The last man standing can be killed for no good reason, because the last man "injects himself with steroids" to run at the increased speed of 300% 4) All players cannot see the names of their teammates until they are close, so from a distance, a cop using a custom powerup will show up in red armor instead of blue. Creates a sort of undercover idea, and allowing anyone to run faster with 150% running speed. Here is a changelog from the original version: 1) New elevator. Still a bit buggy, but I will be working on trying to fix it more. I might just add more man cannons to make sure you get up it. There is one problem, don't go DOWN the elevator. It gets you stuck for a while, and it's hard to get back up or out. Overall, I'd say it works better than the original, and gets you up to the Mafia base almost every single time. 2) Fixed Jail. The jail has been fixed to not only look better, but work better. The barricades have been smoothed out, and cannot be opened, there is no big box at the end of the hallway, it is an actual barricade now. 3) Angled garages. The garages on the Mafia base have been angled downward, so that it doesn't do as much damage when the vehicles fall. I'll be tweaking this more and more to get the correct angle for each vehicle to hit correctly. 4) More weapons in the weapon room. Explains itself 5) A staircase to the Wraith. The Wraith belongs to the Police, but there has always been a problem getting on top of the box. Now there's a small staircase to the top. 6) Fixed drug room. The drug room was completely redone to make sure people won't escape jail through it. It also been made so that there is one way in and out; the teleporter. It can't be blocked, so no more hiding in the drug room. 7) New outside Mafia base. It's up in the air, so you need to launch up to it. This is usually just used to go into the drug room through the teleporter. 8) Fixed a lot of the overall aesthetics. Second Mafia Base Jail exit - needs to be opened for the teleporter to work. For anyone wanting to check out Mafia 3, it is on my file share. Thers nothing mafia-ish about this map at all lol. I think you need to come up with a better name lol. This kinda just seems like a cops and robbers styled gametype and map i think you could come uop with a better concept and map idea with some more time and testers as the guy above me said.
Well, I can't come up with a cooler name than Cops and Robbers? Where does it say that? Yes, I can use Mafia because Robbers and Mafia members are sort of alike. The main thing that no one else really uses in their maps are the drugs, I used them because, and I quote: Yes, it was a game that my friend and I used to play all the time on Coagulation in Halo 2. It used slayer rules and there were no zombies. It was just honor rules, and it was fun. Drugs were available anywhere and there was a big road in the middle. The jail was just the blue base, which we stood a guard at. Now the honor rules have been fixed a little, so that people don't cheat. You can still cheat, but it's harder. Next time I get onto the map for editing, I'll try to make something about the Mafia on it. Got any ideas..? Or should I leave it the way it is? Also, about the testers...I've already played this map a billion times before with the original version, this is just a bug fix basically. I made it from scratch, but most of the stuff was done the same so it looks better. I don't need to test it more, it's tested. It is a great idea, I spent plenty of time on my other 2 versions of the original, and this time, hopefully I got it right. The guy above you thought that he had tested the map because he thought he had played it before. No, I had no testers on this version. I had a old version on this site a couple weeks ago, and some people told me some stuff to fix, so I did. It is a completely new map, but some of the stuff was just redone the same. I've already played and tested, it works the same as the original, except for the bug fixes. So far, it works well, there's no problems.
