The Portal This is an asymmetrical map built for MLG TS and MLG FFA. This took me a while to make and it is also pretty old. Everything is smooth and I GEOed everwhere it was needed. The TS and FFA games ran really well with having little to no spawning issues. I got some of the ideas for my map from "The Mecro v2", like the Rocket room. The name of the map came from the teleporter located under Rocket spawn. Now on to the pictures: Overview of Red side/spawn In the room there is a Carbine. Carbine spawns under the ramp leading up to the middle-left side of the picture. Overview of Rocket spawn/Teleporter room Rocket spawns on the bridge, as you can see, and if you do it right, you can get Rockets, go through the teleporter, and kill the other team to help get the Sniper. The building that the teleporter is in is just there to hold the teleporter. The 4-bridge column is used to block LOS, Lines of Sight, from the high tower that would be to the left of the picture, it isn't in it though. Overview of Blue side/spawn This part of the map was inspired by the bottom part of the Halo 1 map Prisoner, where the plasma grenades spawn. Sniper spawn This was also inspired from a Halo 1 map, and Halo 3, Chill out. The slanted single wall is a jump up from the box below it. OS hallway This tunnel leads from Rockets to Sniper, and vice-versa. Please post any constructive criticism so I can make this map even better, thanks.
This looks pretty good. I really like the sweeping bridges implemented. It has nicely open parts, and a CQB areas. I quite like this map. Great job. 7/10.
I like both of your maps, they are my just my style. I'm not really into MLG myself, but the maps are appealing. I'm a big fan of tunnels, ramps, and bridges (which you used nicely). Do you think you could tell me what that building is in the second picture? I like that you have many tall objects and structures as well. I'm gonna check out both of the maps you just posted
Wow. The layout of this map is amazing. I really like how map geometry and layout takes precedence over super-fancy interlocking. That's when you know you've hit the nail on the head; when you make a great map with minimal objects. You have my DL. I'm anxiously awaiting a v2. This map still has potential to be even better.
Which building in the second picture? The one that is in the back is just something I made to put the teleporter in (which I didn't take a picture of...) The teleporter looks like an H1 teleporter, you can't really tell from that one pic. The building in the middle of it is just a 4-bridge column. I'm also going to be posting my two maps in my sig this weekend. I'm also going to be releasing both of my maps with a normal weapon layout. If anyone else would like to test (Growth Factor and Zealot) add MaaaaaaaaaaaaaaD (14 a's). Edit: Also to the poster above me, tell me how I can make it better. This went through so many changes already, and I have only $3 left, but I will do anything to make this map better.
oh hey maaaaaaaaaaaaaad! you were guy send me some messages on live no? I'd love to help test your maps, i'll go add you. But about the building, i understand now that you've explained it. You should add a more descriptive caption above that picture though (for everyone). I like the halo 1 teleporter idea though!

downloaded. But it seems like it lacks organization. The room that is open for play seems really random. But well set.
The room in the first pic? I think that's what you're talking about. It was actually inspired by another map that I had seen, can't remember the name though.
The Layout is amazing, however there is something I dont't like not sure though, I will try to find out. A download for me
