Spire V2 Alright, i have finally finished the second version of my first ever forgehub map. I got some good feedback from the first round and ive taken care of all of those things i believe for round 2. Its set for CTF, Slayer, Assault, KOTH, and Oddball.So let's get to the map: http://www.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3fileid=70895760 This is a nice overview, those of you who played v1 will probably notice a few differences already... Here is the base, not much different except for the wedge on top was changed because the towers don't allow people on the base roof anymore. Here is the new teleporter tower, it is shorter by the size of 1 tupe peice. Here is the side platform, each teams teleporter tower is a two way node that leads to that teams side platform. And here, by popular request, is the new sniper tower. It is also 1 tube peice shorter. Also, it no longer has the sniper at the top... The sniper is now here, at the foot of the tower leaning on the side platform. I merged the mancannons to get rid of those pesky catches you sometimes get with them. This is the new center structure. Being slightly raised gives better sightlines as a reward for controlling the center and it also takes away some sightlines from the sniper tower. Oh... thats me. with my sweet armor tat Weapons/ Equipment Count (now with the times fixed) BR x8 Carbine x2 Sniper x2 Mauler x2 Plasma Pistol x2 SMG x2 Magnum x2 Rocket Launcher x1 Needler x1 Regenerator x2 Plasma Grenade x8 Frag Grenade x4
indeed again good map but id really like to see a more fitting name and im sticking to that. btw i like this one better. moar refined...
According to what you are saying, this your second forgehub map, correct? Then this is a lot better than my second one! To the map, I like the overall idea because it has the right balance between simplicity and complication. The layout seems pretty cool. The teles look interesting; I think you did a good job with those. I also like the center structure. The side platforms look nice with a good balance of cover. Now to what I dislike, but don't worry it's not much. The bases look pretty barren. I think that you could put some more into those. Its barrenness can cause problems if one team controls the towers. I don't really know if that would be a huge problem. I would have to play on it. The only other proble would be conectivity. What I mean by this is that each base, tower, or platform looks isolated. You should try to make them work together. Overall, I think this a pretty good map. It looks like you thought out some things, but it could be better. But, hey, your 2nd fh map!
Alright electronic, im gunna consider rethinking the name, just cuz i like you. And what's a scope, this is actually my 4 fh map, if you count v1, when i got mythic i started poppin out my ideas like i was the octomom makin welfare babies.
Lies! anyway I liked the original map alot and you changed all the problems with it so I can't say much here except I don't know why you moved the sniper? but yea get a DL link lol
Wow, looks awesome! It looks like a mixute of Warlock and Sanctuary from H2 if you ask me. Gawd, I wish I had these maps. Cannot WAIT till they come out for regular sale.
So i guess a moderator edited the thread, but has anyone played this and if so what did you think? Also, the reason I moved the sniper down to ground level is to make it to where if you dont pay attention, the other team could easily get your sniper and take control without having to get up into your tower and back out
