Sand Castle is a symetrical map, perfect for almost any team based game. Located on the ground floor of Sandbox, the map is large, and perfectly accomodates the warthogs and choppers that can be found in each team's spawn point. Combined with plenty of cover for foot traffic, and high ground for snipers, the map well suits any style of play. The map features the following weapons, equipment, and vehicles. The locations including strengths and weaknesses of each will be briefly covered as well. Vehicles 2x Warthog (Chaingun) 2x Chopper 2x Mongoose Weapons 1x Rocket Launcher 2x Brute Shot 2x Mauler 2x Sniper Rifle 2x Needler 2x Shotgun 8x Battle Rifle Equipment 1x Overshield 2x Grav Lift 2x Power Drainer 2x Regenerator 4x Flame Grenade 8x Stick Grenade 8x Plasma Grenade Everything in the map is balanced equally on the opposite side of the map. The Warthog and Brute Chopper are placed on either side of each team's starting area, giving vehicle lovers an ability to make a quick and fierce beginning. Two mongooses are placed below the center ramps to the main building, providing an extra option for quick ease of movement. The powerweapons on the map are placed strategically, giving each team an equal change to grab the rocket in the center, and any snipers can find their weapon of choice at the top of the ramp leading out of their starting area. A brute shot is located at the back of each team's starting area, giving anyone on foot a chance to defend against vehicles. Battle Rifles are placed frequently around the map, three on the ground level of each base, and two in adjacent corners of the top floor of the main building. One shotgun is located beside each mongoose. One Needler is placed inside the cover near the entrance to the main building. Two maulers are in adjacent corners on the lower level of the main building. Equipment is spread freely around this map, to give players significant ability to take down enemy vehicles. A Power Drainer is located beside the L shapd cover near each starting area, alongside two stick grenades. A Regenerator is located on top of the cover in front of the front entrances to the main building. A Grav lift is placed under the ramp leading away from the starting areas, near the Brute Chopper. Two flame grenades can be found beside the Battle Rifle leaning against the cover point near the right side entrance to the main building. Pairs of plasma grenades can be found in adjacent corners of the bottom story of the main building (across from the maulers- not beside them), as well as next to each needler. Spawn points and goal points are placed efficiently on this map, making it ideal for any classic game type such as TS, CTF, Assault, or Territories. Haha, yeah I got those up now, thanks for the friendly reminder. I also forgot to get a link to the download, but I'm working on that right now....
so not posting a link to help a new user is spam but that isn't? hmmm.... anyway the map combines bothh vehicular and non vehicular combat which is nice. and it also has areas for the sniper. the only problem i have is more of an anoyyance thing for me and that is the little bump where the crypt cover is normally. if yoou have to re-make it for a better feel, use a map with a crypt cover to eliminate the need for a little bump going side to side.
The map looks okay but i suggest renaming it. "sand castle" is such a lame and generic title for a map, and it suggests amateur
