Do I need to point out how stupid the above comment is?

Anyways, not all kids are bad. All people are different. I agree with Epicfishfingers! :D

In America it's a free country. You have to have a parent or someone of the age 18 to buy the game for you though. Although I agree with you, kids get very annoying and tend to want to make me get off Halo. But you have to face it. Every game I play(COD:WaW, L4D, Halo, GOW2) all have those little kids you wish you could just put your arm through their TV and punch them right in the face.

Firstly, lets just get this one out of the way: I know a few kids on XBL who aren't annoying. They're actually decent human beings. However, 90% of them are HIGHLY annoying. Therefore:

    1. They treat us with no respect, so why should I treat them with any?

    2. They're the ones that chose to be on a mature rated game, so why should we give a crap? The ESRB doesn't cover online interactions anyway.

    3. The arguement that "They're just kids" doesnt apply here. Thats no exuse to be an annoying little ****.

But lets stop there. Because I know you arent supporting those annoying twerps. But frankly, I've never been witness to anyone acting rude towards a little kid just because of his voice. The kid has ALWAYS done something to annoy or frustrate the other person, even if it is minor.

Point being: They're playing an M rated game. Either they act mature, or they get slammed for it. They need to go play Hello Kitty Island Adventure if they can't act mature enough to play a competitive video game without screeching or complaining.

You, sir (The Official Y35), have brought up many good points, and ultimately I would have to agree with you. I think the problem is the parents*. The parents obviously have to buy the game. Halo 3 is a lot cleaner than many M-rated games out there, so I think kids should be permitted to play it. I just think that parents should turn off the voice volume and shouldn't allow their kids to use mics. Not because they are annoying as hell. And don't kid yourself (no pun intended), they are annoying as hell. I don't think they should have mics because they aren't mature enough to communicate in a sophisticated (well, as sophisticated as it gets pwning nubs) manner while playing. They yell, curse, scream, and even start crying because of the game and the R-rated content that can be overheard in Matchmaking lobbies and games (or to just be annoying as hell), and being mocked and made fun of by others for doing it doesn't help. I don't think parents should allow their children to be placed into this enviroment. If their child was playing with Nerf guns with others and started yelling, cursing, and crying, and a bunch of high schoolers start making fun of them, the parents would intervine, stopping the battle, or telling their child to quiet down, behave, or do something else. Halo should be no different.

Exactly my feelings now. I shoulda paid more attention...

*this is all assuming that they are actually good parents. Comment is void if dealing with bad parents.

Adults seem to act as immature as most kids do on live. It's kinda stupid if you ask me, but you wouldn't believe how many people have asked me if my balls were in my throat.

Maybe I'm mistaking 20-year olds who live with their mothers for adults, but if you ask me, they aren't kids, so they must be adults.

I think that kids were cool up untill the point where adults realized, hey! These kids are acting the same way we are, but they are kids! Let's hate them for having different sounding voices than us!

Although I kinda agree that some kids don't have the right to play live, like the ones with their headsets down their throuts singing "Twinkle twinkle little star." I think kids have the right to play Halo, and everybody has the right to play anything. But some of them just don't seem deserving of that right..

i agree completely, for the most part i don't care how old the person is and i don't care, so long as their not sreaming into their mics or trying to betray me i'm cool with kids playing halo or any live game, and like the officail y35 said it really is up to the parent to deside what there kids play.

They have 100% right to play halo. Yes, most of us gamers hate having high pitched voices screaming in our ears. But they have the same rights as we do. I wish there was something that would enforce little kids playing these games though. I really do not like the idea of little kids playing violent games

your just saying that cause your brother is effing annoying. lol

seriously though if a kid has a high voice, but doesn't really annoy me, ill put up with it. IF he starts screaming and going" gimme party leadar!" repeatedly,, i mute him. not that hard i just don't need a migraine.

I do believe Xbox Live, as big as it is, is not a country. I mean if you don't want to play with little kids then just do something that does not conclude to yelling at them. This solves nothing and pisses you the **** off for no reason.

Under thirteen should not be playing halo i mean seriously they don't need to be exposed to some of the people on xbox live and the violence

I think xbox should restrict players with ages bellow the minimum age limit for that game by checking their profiles...

There should be a mandatory voice frequency test involved in signing up for Xbox Live. That'll fix the problem.

Lol, that is so very true. I hate sqeakers so much. Or maybe just something that lowers the frequency when put through the microphone.

I don't have a problem with little kids in general, because honestly, a few of my friends are like 10 (Laugh all you want), but even they hate the 11-13 year olds that think they are the best at everything, when they just got the game for Christmas, and cry and whine when they get killed or someone steals their power weapon/kill (Extreme exaggeration). Not necessarily if they "haven't hit puberty yet" (squeakers), those I can mute. But usually the two go hand in hand. Sure you can boot them, but matchmaking is a different story; killsteals, betrayals, taking weapons, fighting teammates for the flag... the list goes on. And if you leave- bungie takes your exp. Those specific reasons are why I don't play matchmaking besides BTB (even though I still get "little kids who need to hit puberty" as teammates). But I just run them over with a mongoose, so its all good :p

I have come up with the perfect argument for this.

If a parent buys his kid an R-rated movie ticket, and the kid is disturbing everyone else watching the movie, should that child be allowed to finish watching it?
