I'm back with a couple new maps for sandbox, and again if you want to make one of these maps please tell me and credit me, and also if you have made something like these maps please notify me. I would appreciate it if someone made these. Aztec Bridge of the Gods: Yet another Sky bubble gap map. Like the past maps there will be two vastly separated Bases, but this time they will resemble Aztec temples. Each temple represents an Aztec god. Red base is death god, and Blue base is the sun god (or the main god). Unlike the past maps, this new map will be separated by a bridge made out of the new long plank item. It will have no railing so watch out. Strewn out across the path of the bridge is various blockades and weapons for cover with the mace of the gods (grav hammer) in the center. Again I imagine this to be an excellent Team slayer or CTF map. It can come in two versions, Wide bridge (Planks laid short ways) or Narrow version (Planks laid long ways) Narrow would be intense. Peasants Rebellion: This is a crypt map for a change. Let me start off by saying that this will be used for one side games (attackers and defenders). To start off, there is a huge wall splitting the middle. And there are two choices on how you would like to get over. The first choice is through a tunnel that is in the center of the wall, and the other choice is by using grav lifts (or man-cannons, I haven’t decided yet). On each side is a faction, the peasant’s side and the castle side. On the peasant side there are strewn out weapons on the ground (no power weapons), and there are random “T”, “L”, and flat walls and barriers for cover. On the castle side of the wall is a huge castle (no kiddin’?) The castle consists of 3 stories and a roof level with two watchtowers (sniper towers) on the left and right end. The Base/1st level’s main focus is just holding them off until you have to retreat to the second floor and the first floor contains a sort of round table and some “torch” poles. The 2nd floor’s main focus is its armory. It contains the weapons that the defenders use, and includes power weapons so guard it with your life. If the peasants take over the armory then you need to retreat to the roof, and let them get lost in the third floor, for the third floor contains a mini labyrinth (nothing special) but its main twist is four teleporters that lead to the roof. One teleporter leads to the open roof, but the others lead to the punishment box in which you are trapped inside a box with nothing to accompany you but a killball >. If you do reach the roof there will be a flag waiting for you (or something). And there you have it, and epic coup de etat. Thanks a lot for your time, St. Burke
Off Topic: Please change the color of your text, the black is hard to see for people using the new layout of the website, and the white is hard to see for all those old school people. Back On Topic: I kind of like the "Peasants Rebellion" idea more, just because I like castle maps. Although I don't plan on making either of these, I love the ideas, and hope you continue to tell us your ideas. The idea of a map made entirely of wood doesn't really amaze me, because I like to imagine these being used as bridges, and only bridges. The one in the crypt does seem like some parts would not be possible though... I don't know, maybe it's just me. I dun likez armoryz!
Your peasant rebellion map sounds pretty cool. I'm not a huge fan of dying to due map creators wanting to kill people, nor am I a fan of having kill balls in competitive games. It could however be good for a mini-game, maybe an Influential VIP game type of sorts, where the VIP has to get to a waypoint on the roof.
@Conker Nooooo you don't understand, only the bridge is made of the planks(not pallets), and the rest of the map is stone(i.e. the temples) @Heat I'm not sure what your first critique means, but the thing with th killballs is that its not like they are in your way or something like they are not in the middle of the playing field. Thanks for commenting
u hav sum good ideas but i think u shud buy an xbox an make dem urself cuz only u can make it like u want it 2 be i think so soz if im wrong
Yeah, I agree. I started building it in Sketchup, I plan to realize this map once I have mythic. Already discussed some possible changes with St. Burke. Can't wait to get actually started on Sandbox... *sigh*
