    Nacht Der Untoten - Updated with new pics as of 3/21/09!

    Nacht Der Unto7en
    is a map I've created in Sandbox based off of the original Call of Duty: World at War zombie game - **** Zombies. I have a gametype to accompany it as well.

    Sanbox's unique features allowed me to create an environment that is not only similar to the way you play **** Zombies in CoD, but allows for a more pleasing aesthetic value as well.

    Zombies will spawn outside of the building and hack away at the wooden entrances as human soldiers attempt to fend them off from the inside. I decided to create the map in the Skybox, in order to give the humans limited space in case they somehow exited the building. This balances the gameplay a lot when your a zombie. It also keeps the infected on the right path.

    It's not only fun to play, but you'll get some awesome screenshots from playing "Axis Zombies".

    Multiple entrances allow the gameplay to mimick **** Zombies for the infected players, and the humans also get a "random box" in which three weapons will spawn intermittently - one of which is the fuel rod cannon with max ammo to mimick the ray gun.
    Random Box
    Battle Rifle - Spawns at start, 90 second respawn
    Flamethrower - Spawns 120 seconds into the game
    Fuel Rod Cannon - Spawns 180 seconds into the game

    Of course, as is the case in CoD, there are walls (barricades) that deny access to the other rooms. In this version, you have to 'nade nearby fusion coils inside the barricades to blow them away. And don't worry about them getting in your way, they'll disappear in about 10 seconds for clean gameplay.

    To further mimick the gameplay, there are three power-ups, two of which are custom powerups which allow the humans to have infinite ammo and instant kills for thirty (30) seconds.

    Upstairs, you'll find the grenades, shotty, an assault rifle, and a sniper hidden behind a block to combat the zombies.

    The effects of fire in the HELP room look VERY cool when using the flamethrower.

    Also, if you're a zombie, your sword appears to be on fire when you stand next to the red lights,

    and appears to be emmitting an electric field under the blue lights.

    A ramp appears 180 seconds into the game to allow zombies access to the top floor.

    y is it floating???? ur trying to mimic game play right? do zombies fall off the edge in cod ww ? nooooooooo, other than that though this map is pretty well the same.e. good job consider the groud in a v2

    Like I said above, I didn't want the humans wandering around outside with power weapons as that would totally ruin the fun for the zombies. Making it in the skybox was a sacrifice, but in the end I think it was the right decision.

    I like this map and it looks like a lot of fun to play infection on. I don't really know how to compare because have never played Call Of Duty: World At War. I have heard about it from my friends though and they say it's the best game mode. I am going to download this and see how well the game play is. I think it will be cool since you get to be the zombie and in wow you don't. (complaint of my friend.) I will probably be back with a better review later on.

    This map looks really fun. Amazingly fun. Major download from me. Although I've never played **** zombies, or even WAW for that matter, but this looks like a great remake from what I see. And I would rather see correct gameplay rather than a complete acurate remake. At first I thought the custom power ups would be to strong for the humans, but since the map is big, they might only get one, two, or even three kills if lucky. The lights add a vey nice effect to the swords, so putting them in was a good idea. Great map. 5/5.

    Nice job, I'm not a fan though on recreations of other game ideas since that's not original but if I were to choose the best remake of **** zombies it would be this one, so great job looks as though you made everything almost correspond with the original.

    I have a few issues with it.

    -Humans can go outside. (This means spawn killing.)
    To fix this: Flip the half door, put a pallet there and give zombies a wedge so they can walk up to it and go through, make it so humans can't jump.)

    -Where is the roof?

    To Fix it: Make a roof (Unless you took it off for pics)
    Aesthetically speaking, you could have taken more time from the pics. The top area looks shabby and awkward. If you wanted a war-torn look, put up a roof, and take parts of it out to form holes. Go the extra mile and merge little bars sticking out. (Could be weapons or an object on its side)

    -Someone is making an ultimate foundry version of it.

    I do like that you set up zombie paths however. I'm not sure how true the gametype is to CoD Zombies though. My rating 4/5.

    I'm not sure what you did with the Random wep box but it aesthetically looks good as does the help room.
    I personally think you should have made a thing that makes it so you can choose which path do go first (Upstairs or door, then stairs again)
    If they are just fusion coils, zombies can hit them to unlock more paths.

    Also, timed events. Spawn the fusion coils after a time (Or have a grav lift that unblockes something blocking the covers of the stairs after say.... 30 seconds.
    Then wedges spawn allowing zombies access to the top floor or help room after 45 seconds (To simulate a round) (Otherwise they could camp and wait for humans to run up there.

    Maybe that exists. I guess I would need more pics then


    If you want to really, really make it like COD have the zombies able to pick up weapons. They can spawn-pick up a grav lift allowing access to a powerup floating up by the roof (This way zombies cant normally pick them up too)
    This would require Honor rules that zombies don't pick up weapons.

    This looks pretty good. I'm just overall concerned about the fact that it's possible fore people to actually get out the building. It kinda ruins the theme of **** Zombies overall.

    is this an exact replica? i hope it is, beacause i've allways loved the **** zombies building's layout. i downloaded it but my xbox live isn't working right now :(

    nyeah it needs some work but it looks okay. shouldnt the stairs be going up not down? and also i think it should be timed when the debris gets moved so that its more intense.
    also you should make the "tunnel" like it CoD anddd you should make the zombies spawn on BOTH sides like in the actual game.... the zombies dont just come from the front (spawn) but they come from both behind and front (spawn wise)

    Cool, someone made this on Sandbox. Now I don't have to remake my version on it. XD

    This would be my map, and the discussion thread for that map is linked below in my sig. It has some ideas in it that you could use to improve this map.

    The problem with your map is that humans can get out, and that causes some serious problems with spawn killing. I recommend using vehicles at the zombie windows, preferrable mongoose, like I did. Then make a gap where the humans can shoot out at the zombies. Below the gap, place the mongoose and brace it so it can't be moved away. The zombie come in by getting into the mongoose through the wall, and the humans can't escape. Plus, when they enter the building that way, it looks like the real thing when they climb over the sandbags. =)

    More pics tomorrow.

    I do have the cave/tunnel thing. Also, zombies do spawn at all angles, but only at the front and right side at their first spawn.

    Humans can only leave the house at 1 or two points, and have very limited play space. The wedges leading inside make it very hard to leave.
    The reason there isn't a roof on the first room is beacuse I only have like $11 left and I can't use that money for some reason. I think it looks better that way anyways.

    really cool mape, nice reamake. i did have some critiscism though but Deathhawk covered everything pretty much. 4/5

    All I can say is okay.
    Rival mass and Master Debayter have made a perfect one, so I will have to say the truth, in comparison this sucks,
    Its a good map and will do well however the epic foundry version is better.
    Good luck on the v2 although here's one hint.
    Make a better box by using grav lifts.
    That's all I'll give you.

    I got to test it out, and it's being released soon. It plays exactly like the real game, and has a working random box, and amazing ideas for cover that are implimented well. Sorry if it's off topic, but the remake on foundry is AMAZING.

    Very nice dude, I hope you could think about making Verruct(Zombie Asylum). And try and figure out how to make the defences and perks-a-cola machines. It is worth a spot in my map list!

    My question is, why on the sky bubble?

    It's not often I say things of this nature, but it seems a little necessary. First of this name was essentially stolen from a previous map "Nacht der Toten" and the gameplay is not as good. On a side note... is undead in German really untoten? ...didn't think so.
