The concept is simple enough. It's Grifball, but with Tanks, immovable of course. There is some cover littered around, but don't worry, it's not too cluttered. I made this in about 20 minutes, so it's not perfect, but it's good enough for me. The default Griffball game variant is fine, use that; I like it with 9 rounds, not 5 though.

For those of you wondering, the tanks are held to the ground by geo-merged tin cups. The two tanks CAN shoot each other, but just barely. I like this fact. If you want to edit the map to make that impossible, go ahead.

Blah Blah Blah, Griffball as normal, with tanks and cover. Pics now. Yay.

ha this actually seems pretty cool, and it sounds like it would be harder to score with the ball, in my opinion, did you make it were the ball carrier and ride in the scorpion? If so i dont think thats such a good idea, and did you lower the health rate, so the person in the scorpion can die easier?

The ball carrier cannot ride. (Tank's don't move anyway)
The game variant is the normal Griffball, low health.

First comment guy: It's not even Bungie's Idea, and that's like saying "Don't forge on Sandbox, Sandbox is Bungie's!!!"

    GTFO.

    SHUT. UP.

It's supposed to make it harder, GTFO of my thread.
You're also supposed to use teamwork, send Two guys to the tank, beat it down in one hit.

    Besides both teams have tanks.

Again, it's meant to be hard.

    Now leave.

Okay. This is my last post, I don't want to keep bumping this thread.

If you send two at once, the guy in the Tank will not live unless he is very good. There is a delay between shots, and if he misses even once, that just makes him more dead.

I've tested this game, and killing the tank is not hard.
    Download it.
    Try it.

Then go **** yourself for being an asshole.
I'm no longer responding to you.

    /fight

By the way, I've gotten across with the bomb from the middle while being shot at by the tank. Not that hard.

Wow, El3CTRONiC. Are you 5 or 6? You copied and pasted what a guy wrote when he was teaching a guy how to embed pictures, and you wrote the exact same thing, and now this? Hm, try READING before you make false assumptions. On topic: The map is okay I guess, I like how the tank doesn't move, the first time I saw it, I was like wow, what a fail, and then I read what you wrote. Is it an instant kill if you get shot? I can see how this map would require team work, and strategy to some degree, but still wondering if I should download, because normally I would, but I have almost no more map space on my 360. 4/5 anyways, good.

Wow calm down! This is pretty awesome although you forgot the L on my name lol. The point is to make it harder by placing tanks this why its called heavy. In normal slayer they have variants that are heavy which have tanks, wraiths, everything, this is using that way and putting it into griffball. I like how you changed it up I wish I could of thought of it like this!!

PS: My variant and map got plenty of downloads when I had it up but I dont support it cause it was too basic and you died easily but making it this way changes that!! GOOD JOB!

Toaster, it's low health like in normal games, but the bomb guy is harder to kill even with defaults. A direct hit doesn't work all the time, kinda weird.

This is the second time i've seen you post your "opinion" about a map without playing it... how can you know how it plays if you havent done so yourself? you cant. so please stop criticizing other peoples work without giving suggestions...

As to the map, it look fun! I'm interested as to how you made the tank immovable... and the clutter would make it more difficult to play the game I think... although I think griffball was fine how it was, this still seems like it would be terrific...

I'm actualy more interested in the cover then the tanks. Now you can hide and get stalemates between the shield doors, distraction tactics FTW. The ability to be a ninja is a huge plus for me, since in real grifball the most ninja thing you can do is sneak around the sides. I'm kind of worried about increased spawn killing, because of the tank. Maybe make a safe platform above?

"Well then.... I will not download. Mostly because it's, well not good? Ya let's go with that.... I'd suggest that you remove the tanks and cover and once you're done with that I'd suggest you should stop stealing Bungie's ideas."

I just had to fix a few things in there! But enough of that! That was just rude! You don't go into somebody's map thread just to tell them that their map sucks, and that the only way to fix it would be to get rid of everything on the map! This map was not Bungie's idea! This was Burnie Burns idea, and that's why the game is named Grifball. You know Grif? The guy from the Machinima series Red vs Blue? Yeah, that guy.

Now back to the map! I love the cover idea, but wouldn't vehicles destroy the whole point in Grifball? Perhaps instead of adding tanks, you could just add rocket launchers and grenades? Ya know, creating the whole "Heavy" feeling without actually destroying the gameplay of the map?

But what would I know? I haven't played the map yet!

I love the cover, but the scorpions just don't fit in..

EDIT: Ooooooo... immovable scorpions eh? I like that! How long did it take you to geomerge the tin cups? Seems like it would be kinda hard.. I once tried geomerging on Sandbox and it didn't go out so well..

Geomerging didn't take long, it didn't have to be perfect because you can't see them on the field. It just had to be close enough.

What if an enemy gets in your tank? How do the tin cups hold the tanks to the ground? Looks fun, but no dl cuz I never have big enough parties. 4/5

it has something to do with the 'magnetic' effect that makes the golf ball climb up the green

one tin cup will hold a scorpion but you can eventually drive off in reverse

2 tin cups will lock it down permanently

the effect seems to be cumulative - we floated several tin cups set to incremental timers above a scorpion - when the 5th tin cup spawned the scorpion floated up to the tin cups

Ya... I just find the fact that there are items and tanks, ruins the whole idea of griffball...

valid point. Although technically I could rename it Assault: Tanks or something and that wouldn't matter anymore. :)

Dude, he's not ripping of bungies idea. Infact, it wasn't bungies idea even. I'm quite sure it was RoosterTeeth's. That's not the point. It's the community's idea, so the community can change it.

I couldn't get a chance to play it, I don't get enough people in parties, so I'm judging by sight. Sorry about that. Anyway I think the idea is brilliant. Adding the scorpians, plus the cover, makes for an amazing idea. I see how this works. Would you think of making of versions of griffball in the future, perhaps a griffball stealth for say?
