Sandbox Sanctuary Remake

    This is a remake (to the best of my abilities) of the Halo 2 map Sanctuary. The weapon layout is exactly the same, and the map is as close to the real thing as I could get it. I'm not the best forger, so the merging isn't that great, and the center structure has grav. lifts instead of the curved ramps.

    EDITED: The center of the map has been remade. It is wider, to limit lines of sight, and the grav. lifts have been replaced by the spiral walkway. Also, the bridges going from the sniper spawns to the center are now wide-wooden bridges (not stone), and the rails have been added to them. I made a few minor aesthetic changes to the bases, and the stone bridges are now floating at the same hight as the boxes.

    I haven't gotten new pics up, but will soon.

    This looks a little sloppy... Try to interlock more and clean it up a bit, It looks pretty good but if you make a V2 checkout Exult first!

    Hey I know interlocking is a little harder on this map but this map desperatly needs it. it is a pretty good remake of sanctuary and looks pretty decent, but it could use some editing on interlocking and just tryingt to make it look a little more like the original.

    Too many firing lines. Sanctuary was far harder to line up a shot in. This looks like it would be as easy as pulling the trigger. Other than that, it also looks a little sloppy.

    However, keep up the good work, because we all have a masterpiece in us somewhere.

    Maybe you should try straightening things out a little. Parallel objects with other objects using wall or something

    well dangit! i wanted to be the first to make a sanctuary remake, but looks like i was beaten.
    The map is Okay, but as stated some where above, its a little sloppy

    yeah, like i said, im not the best forger. hopefully someone really good can pick this up and clean it up. ill work on a v2 but it will probably take me a while.

    I doubt anyone will do your work for you. I know I sure wouldn't. If you're looking to clean up your map you're going to have to do it yourself. Use other objects to help you keep a straight edge and line things up properly. With enough practice, you can build quality maps in no time. It just takes effort on your part.

    You know I'm getting tired of hearing people say that these maps need more interlocking. It looks nice sure but it really doesn't affect the gameplay at all. The map looks fine already and you people don't seem to like it because the items were not put into one another.

    I think the map looks fine how it is.

    thanks, i didnt really think interlocking would effect the game play either, its just for aesthetics.

    and i didnt want someone to do the work for me and then call it mine, they could call it their own if they wanted. just give me credit vor the v1 or something, i dont care.

    You did a good job, but this could be soooo much better with at least SOME decent interlocking. It really it's that hard. and it makes the play smoother. it's just all around better. :)
