    Hey everybody!

    In an effort to create an intense and unique symmetrical map, I have worked long and hard to give you such an arena. Welcome to Olympus!

    Play testers include:
    Guffin
    Barakatastrophe
    WundahfulAhnold

    Unique attributes of this map include:

    Weapons and Equipment:
    - The glorious Rocket Launcher, which is guarded by a shield door and three flights of stairs. But watch your back! Grenades can perfectly bounce in from the roof above or off the back wall.
    - The infamous Spartan Laser sits adjacent to the Spnkr, elevated on a platform that can only be reached by Grav Lifts - two of which can be found mirrored on either side of the main stairwell.
    - An Active Camo on the right. An Over Shield on the left. Both have great vantage points above them to take down wandering attackers in the alleys below.
    - Two Sniper Rifles are mirrored in the back corners of the map. If you find that one's taken, head to the Two-Way Warp to bring you from Side A to Side B to grab the other one. I caution you though, that this is prime territory to get spanked from a rocket equipped Spartan with itchy trigger fingers! And you'll notice that Olympus is designed with long lines of sight in mind for those craving mid to long range action. If its a close quarters game you're craving, stick to the elevated pathways and tunnels to do some damage.
    - And yes! There are Maulers on the map, which you'll find on the elevated pathways near the sniper rifles.
    - Fall off the stairs on the way up to the rockets? No worries! Grab yourself that Radar Jammer, or the Power drainer and reak some havoc!
    - You'll also find carefully placed Dual Wields, Needlers, Incendiery Grenades, and Brute Shots.
    - And what happens if you're two steps behind someone heading up those stairs? Grab one of the two BRs under the Splazr and take em down!
    - Last but not least....the Shotgun, which you'll find if you double back going up the stairs where it sits on a nice little bridge above those BRs.

    Gametype Information:
    - All gametypes are ready to roll!
    - If you spawn in the back corridor, you can duke it out for the Energy Sword, which is flanked by the Bubble shield and a Regenerator. I blocked it off for one of the teams for when you're playing asymetrical gametypes. But don't worry, the other team gets a nice shiny Ghost for these particular gametypes instead.
    - King of the Hill, Juggernaut, and Territories, make for some great gametypes on Olympus! You'll find the normal areas to hold and get to, but then once in a while you'll be fighting to claim the whole stairwell, or keeping everyone out of the peak! You have to try it!

    *Note* - Since I don't read forums much, I didn't notice until after I posted this map that there are other Olympus maps out there. I haven't checked any of them out, and I apologize that I'm using the same name. But hey, it's a great name! This map was entirely created by myself, from the Foundry canvas. Final tweaking and testing credits go to Barakatastrophe and WundahfulAhnold, who I mentioned above. Give it a shot! A lot of thought and design went into this one. :)

    That actually looks pretty badass. I watched the slideshow.

    Just to warn you though,

    people on this forum prefer that you embed some screenshots in your post,
    you might want to edit it and do that. Other than that, it looks really cool.

    Nice counter of the shield door and shotgun, by showing that you have to use grenades.

    And I have the same idea for foundry, but mine's totally symmetrical.

    Cool

    Yeah, I guess I should have clarified that it plays symmetrical more than being an exact replica on the other side. I wanted you to know what side you were on, and have each one have it's own qualities and feel. Yet distances and play is almost exactly the same.

    The choke point for the rocket launcher is a good idea. Much better in my opinion than Bungie's Default take. I'll give it a whirl.

    s_tygard: Nice! Just wait til you get your sniper rifle up there...it's intense watching out for grenades as well as the clever few who get on top of the side boxes and grav lift up behind you. I wanted this map to be another option for people wanting to play on Foundry. The default one's great...this one just adds some vertical flair to it.

    Spartan_R14: I focused all my money on everything but those two side rooms. I wanted things to look nice in the main room and entry ways, so I actually ran out of budget to give those rooms proper attention. So I just blocked them off for this map.

    Fbu: Thanks! Yeah, I make pretty pictures for a living, so I did my best with this one. I don't have much time to play or forge much. And this one took about a week on and off to finish and perfect. So it's worth a DL, in my opinion :)

    i have gotta say, this map looks pretty cool. There are alot of these kind of FFA forge maps bumping around including my own and its good to see one that looks thought out and weel represented.

    One query, are there any weapons/spawns/items in the default "bases", the bits past the intersecting wall? My only suggestion would be if not, block it off if u have the budget to do so of course. I know that if theres nothing there, why would people go out there, but its the same with the default halo maps. People just have the need to get out of them despite the fact that theres very little out there.

    Nice, Sean! I hope you like it.

    And yes, I used the four or eight dollars to put two doors in the back back corridor to stop anyone going into the side rooms.

    If you meant blocking off the corridor as well, I thought it was a cool idea to have the sword in the middle there, so you can duke it out with whoever's owning with the shotgun in the main hangar while you were respawning.

    This map looks real good and had a lot of effort put into it. I shall place it in my queue!

    Haha. They're on a long respawn, don't worry. And there's enough firepower in this map to counter em. ;D
