I have 2 mics. 1 is a wireless one and the other is the standard plug-in headset that came with my xbox. Is there I can get it so that I can hook up a second controller and use both mics? Typically what happens is both mics will only work for the first player and not the second.
If the second controller is an Xbox Live Gold Account. A guest is not permitted to chat, nor is a Silver to play against other accounts. You're going to need two Gold Accounts on the same console, sign both in, plug both mics in the required controllers for the prompted accounts, and then you're able to transmit audio.
k thx different question now: if my friend has a gamertag with a gold account, but on a different console, can he log onto his gamertag from my console and still have his gold account? or does he need to completely re-register and pay for a gold account on mine?
Nope, perfectly able. He just needs to know his Windows Live ID, then recover the gamer tag on your console. After hes done at your house, he need to recover it back on his console at home. So, no money needed.
Or use a memory unit, because usually recovering takes like 15 mins. But it's free. If you put a mic in a guest's controller, can they HEAR? not necessarily submit audio, but will sound output through it?
Nope. Microsoft wouldn't really allow cross permissions. If they can't talk, the can't hear. Only, with a guest signed in, audio transmits through the Original Account's Microphone, but also through TV's speakers.
Spammy Spam is Spammy? Anyway, just to throw this in there... You could always just create a new account and use the free 1 month of Xbox live gold.
