The Lakebottom The bottom of a murky lake. Chaos may follow. Map Information Map : High Ground Creator : PHOENIX 874 [me] Designed Gametypes : Capture the Flag, Slayer, King of the Hill The Lakebottom on High Grounds has nothing to do, at all, with High Grounds itself. The combat area is actually beyond normal access, past the beach and in the murky waters past High Grounds. Players spawn in the air and immediately fall down into the water. You'll notice that the visibility suffers significantly while down there, while anything bright shines like a beacon. All sense of direction is lost, until you jump and poke your head out of the water, to catch a brief breath of air. Not that you need it, though. A row of crates and various objects kindly reminds you when you're getting too close to leaving the area of gameplay, while a waterfall of fusion coils rains down behind, in case a player attempts to leave. And if you do happen to leave, there isn't much out there to benefit you. A teleporter is offered in case a player wants to come back in. The only possible way to leave the gameplay area is to walk off too far into the lake, where you'll fall to your death. It's near impossible to blockade the entire area well, so there are no definitive markers. However, the receiving end of the teleporter is near the edge, and not passing it generally prevents unwanted suicides. This map is good for pure random goodness and surprisingly fits King of the Hill really well. CTF is another option, since there are natural rock obstacles inside the play area. Slayer is always another option, but doesn't work nearly as well as the other two. Screenshots! ~A picture of the Hill. All the screenshots I show will be from King of the Hill.~ ~A look at the general area of gameplay. Don't worry, it doesn't look this lame ingame. And, the fusion coils are in midair. Just trust me on that. xD~ ~The view underwater. Quite dark and blurry, isn't it? Notice the teleporter receiver.~ ~A look from inside the play area.~ ~People battle it out inside the hill.~ ~A look underwater. I think you'll notice how much of an advantage jumping has in this map.~ ~Some more people fighting.~ ~A guy with a sword is ready to pounce. Sword-carrying individuals stand out like crazy underwater.~ ~One last look at the swamped battlefield.~ The mayhem and chaos in this map can't be described with mere words and some pictures, so please try out my map. It starts getting insane with 6+ people, especially on King of the Hill, which I recommend the most. I hope you enjoy this map. ^^ >>>Download 'The Lakebottom'.<<< >>>Download 'RandomKOTH' [King of the Hill]<<< >>>Download 'Rush', the CTF Variant for The Lakebottom.<<< ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Golden Gun How long can YOU keep the legendary Golden Gun? Gametype Information Gametype : Juggernaut Creator : PHOENIX 874 [me] Suggested maps : Guardian, Epitaph, Construct, Narrows, Isolation, Snowbound. The golden gun has returned from its famed status in the Bond series, and now the Spartans fight for control over this dangerous weapon! The wielder of the Golden Gun, chosen at random, instantly kills anyone who touches his bullets. However, the Golden Gun has been cursed - whoever controls it has non-recharging shields! Avoid enemy fire while taking down everyone you see. Oh, and watch for those blasted regenerating grenades. The starting weapons are pistols and shotguns, and everyone has a recharging grenade supply. Weapon pickup is turned off. The juggernaut carries a red marker over his head - But beware, if you can see him, you're probably dead! Grenades may be controversial, however, they even things out between the juggernaut and the rest of the players. I don't recommend anymore than 8 players, since then it becomes a tad too crowded and the juggernaut dies too quickly. I hope you enjoy this gametype. [size=10pt]>>>Download 'GoldenGun'<<<
Re: The Lakebottom [High Ground] // Bonus Gametype: GoldenGun Interesting way to pull off the golden guns gametype, that part sounds fun. But this map idea has been done to death, im sorry to say.
Re: The Lakebottom [High Ground] // Bonus Gametype: GoldenGun Oh? <_< I haven't seen it before. Eh. Oh well..
Re: The Lakebottom [High Ground] // Bonus Gametype: GoldenGun Well i admit i haven't seen a KOTH variant of it, but like 1000000 people have made the good old "omg were fighting in teh water" map. not trying to be a douche or discourage you, im just keepin it real son.
Re: The Lakebottom [High Ground] // Bonus Gametype: GoldenGun Well, its not surprising people have made maps about that idea. xD -Goes back to thinking about other map ideas..-
