Sandbox Ra

    Map Title: Ra

    Description: This map was something I did from scratch...I didn't really have a direction when I started it. The map is called Ra because it is done in the sky bubble of Sandbox, the items on sandbox look kind of ancient Egyptian, and there's a big kill ball in the middle. Ra was the ancient Egyptian god of the sun, and the kill ball looks like the sun. Enough of the origin of the map name. Ra is a linear map with a red and blue base respectively. Each base has three different levels with a sniper rifle on the top most level. There is a center "clover" structure between the bases with a down pipe in the center just below the kill ball. This is where a brute shot is stationed and is also the location for goal points for gametypes like neutral bomb and oddball. You may find a few bumps in the interlocking...I'm sorry but there is little I can do. I have gone through at least five or six times refixing the bad interlocking to no avail. The objects seem to want to stay where they are on the final version and refuse to stay flat and smooth.

    Red base: Sniper Rifle on the top center of the bunker, goal point in the bottom level.

    Blue Base: Sniper Rifle on the second level under the pillars, lift up to level 3. Goal Points inside bunker.

    Center Overview: Clover Leaf in the middle with the kill ball hovering over top. Red Base to the left, and Blue Base to the right. Blue and Red tunnels from the Clover Leaf down pipe over on the right before Blue Base.

    Overview of the Clover Leaf: Battle Rifle on the top right leaf, Carbine on the bottom left leaf. Red tunnel outlet on the bottom right leaf and blue tunnel outlet on the top left leaf. The downpipe is in the center of the clover leaf.

    looks pretty good. Nothing too special, you landed kinda smack dab in the middle of all the sandbox maps out so far. Its well put together you could say, but nothign outof the ordinary, I might give it a DL later, first post.

    i really liked the platforms around the killball for me that brought the gamplay to a higher level also the bases were well thought out good job on that cant wait to see your next map

    the roofs needs to be merged so that they are flush with the rest of the roof... other than that this is a pretty neat map although it is still nothing special.. 3/5

    I don't know why but I love this map and IMO it's the best map that's come out of sandbox so far. I know most would disagree with me about this being the best but this is extremely eye soothing or what ever and it plays great. so 6/5 ^^ I am a fan Freelancer Sam

    Yah...I agree...I've made them flush countless times but they seem to want to stay in that bumpy position. After I merge them so that they are perfectly flat and even and pretty...I'll come back five minutes later to see them back with the same uneven ugliness....so I gave up trying

    Jesus Christ, how did you make it so Egyptian looking? Even without the name...
    The orbs, the curves, the setup....
    I seem to be the only one to appreciate it at the moment.
