Foundry Trysect

    So here it is. That infamous map you started a year ago and never did the last interlock on. This is definitely one of those maps for me.

    Trysect (yeah, its spelled like that) is a symmetrical map with the default red and blue base. This map is a complete 4v4 map, but free for alls work well on it as well. All the weapons are MLG-oriented, but since I did use a couple non-MLG items, I'm posting this in the competitive thread instead.

    Weapon/item list:

    • Fragmentation Grenade x4
    • Plasma Grenade x4
    • Battle Rifle x8
    • Carbine x2
    • Sniper Rifle x1
    • Overshield x1
    The map creates a lot of strategy because there isn't much of a high ground compared to your standard MLG maps like Amplified and Onslaught. The sniper and overshield are in the center of the map which both teams will probably want. The lack of cover on the top trisecting bridges makes getting the sniper rifle a tough feat, but definitley a rewarding one at that.

    It looks pretty simple but a nice simple. but i think it is a little to open so i think you should do something with the open space like put something aesthetic in the open space. but other then that it is pretty good 7/10.

    It looks like a good idea, but it could have been better. I suggest making a V2 tthat is less bare and open, and try to add some more ineresting structures. 3.5/5

    Good points. All the BRs in this map definitely need more cover. Once I stop screwing around with sandbox, I'll probably consider making a v2. Thanks for the advice!

    Interesting layout is spoiled by lack of scenery. There is hardly anything on this map, it seems very very bare. There is so little here that it is hard to critique the map. You did not build any structures whatsoever. There isn't much of a high ground because there isn't much of anything. When making a V2 consider creating something. There is barely anything to download here. All you did was place a few stray bridges and a couple boxes.

    Crazy, you really don't need to put it like that. If your not going to constructivley criticize, don't criticize at all. As i posted above I'm going to work on the v2 after Pel and Jarhead generously gave me constructive suggestions. Thank you.

    i agree that its really bare realy really bare infact i hope to see a more sceanery ridden v2 but for the moment it does seem nice the forging is very nice interlocking etc. all good i imagine the game play is interesting since u have all ranged weapons in a map with only a few strategic dividers/things that obstruct peoples veiws but since i havnt played it et i cant say good or bad gameplay wise ... over all ill say 4/5 good forging but the barenness takes away that one point

    It is extremely easy to get out of this map. A tip for next time would be using a pre-made canvas, or at least add another layer of fence boxes. Aside from that, it doesnt seem that you have done much at all, and haven't had some of the planning and testing needed for a good map 2/5

    This map looks much too easy to get out of. Right here, you could just grenade jump out. Also, the map looks much too bare.

    Also, this is a very random structure that doesn't really contribute to the map at all. I would take it out and replace it with something else or make it actually leading up to something.

    Whoa, buddy! No need to be a ****. N1lly, I just noticed that you can very easily escape this map. If or when you make a V2, I can help you make it inescapeable, just hit me up with a FR(my GT is PELGORE). This map definately has potential, but it needs to be improved.
