Sandbox Facing Worlds

    He did play it later on after posting that and the feeling was still the same.

    Great concept, sloppy execution. You might also look into the spawns again. We had some weird ones in that game. Our team spawned outside one base the other team spawned inside the same base.

    Mastar was in the party and he was saying the original of this map was his favorite from the game and he loved a majority of the Gameplay on this one so you're almost there. Just a bit more tweaking required and it will go from a good map to a great map.

    Played it and loved it exactly like a map on UT3 on Xbox 360 haven't tried '99 one.
    Also first map I showed my friend on Mythics and he was like holy c**p thats good.
    4/5 for me and its not sloppy at all.

    Your map was featured on the Mythic Map Pack walkthrough on XBL Inside Xbox. It showed them sniping someone from the ground floor to the top of Facing Worlds.

    wow..I totally remember this map..its perfect! I really wish I had the mythics atm, but I'm keeping this in mind when I get it..its just beautifully forged, and the perch is just like the original..Great job, 5/5.

    Lucky bastard and your Mythic..jk..(you are lucky though)

    I really wanted someone to do this ever since I saw the skybox. A couple things to note though.

    - I really think you need the hill for the map to play the way its supposed to for flag. Since you can see across the whole way now theres not those spots that you can get into specifically to look across the map. It wouldn't exactly be fun to make but I honestly don't think it would take up that much extra budget and it would look great and help gameplay. Also straightening everything up and interlocking the floor would make it more seamless.

    - Another thing is the vehicles. I don't really see why they are here given the way the map was played in UT, which was as a sniper oriented ctf map.

    Theres a couple of other suggestions I would make but I need to actuall play the map to see if they are valid so I'll get back to you after I can run around on the map later this week.

    Unfortunately, that really isn't that much. as you can see, each and every object costs $5.. so you money depletes much more quickly. like in foundry, walls and WDs cost $3 so with 2 walls you are paying more than it would for 3 in foundry.. It's just sick how bungie fooled us like that.. 20 of everything... but not enough budget or item limit to use it properly.. HELLO budget glitch (hopefully clean budget) and for the map, I give you a 4/5 for now, and a definite DL.. thank you for this wonderful map.

    wow what a great map... its funny that u made this because i was an avid fan of unreal tournament when it was still popular and when i heard about the skybubble i thought EUREKA! facing worlds would be a perfect remake for halo. it was my favorite map in unreal and this looks like a pretty perfect remake of it. you have my download and this is by far one of my favorite sandbox maps yet.

    I love the Sniper Perch view. Too bad you couldn't make the middle floor.

    This is probably the best remake yet Halo and non-Halo altogether.

    NICE! I LOVE this map! It plays pretty well, and it looks accurate compared to the real "Facing Worlds". A little bumpy, but that's my only complaint. 4.8/5

    Cool Map.

    The aesthetic is amazing. Never played UT but I can see why you liked face. The mancannons might need to be moved up a little some people kept slammin into the other side of the hole and falling to their deaths. 5/5

    this is a really good remake! I like how you adapted it for halo, but its not just for UT99.
    Its for UT2004

    I'm aware, but the UT2k4 version differs a lot in terms of layout and is much larger. This one draws mainly from the 99 version in gameplay and aesthetic.

    UT 2K4's "face" is a blasphemy!

    I've never liked any of the Face remakes, this map is the exception, Similar enough to invoke the feel and nostalgia of the original, different enough to both keep people on their toes and to be considered it's own entity.

    My brother was not happy about the one level inside each base, but understands why it was done.

    This was bound to be created, I had it in my head to make a Facing Worlds too, but you beat me to it. Oh well. I guess I'll just have to be original and think of my own remake (sarcasm) lol

    I like it, but the feel from the unreal tournaments isn't here, because the middle. Not having the slants in the two connecting ramps changes game play completely as you can now shoot directly across from base to base without going to the top of the bases. But it still a great game play flowing map, I tried CTF and found it quite fun here, I'd recommend that over anything else. Good job on the bases if I must say too ^^
