I am introducing my new map "Bloodsnatch" today. Team Slayer, CTF, Assault, Oddball you want it Bloodsnatch has it. The file can be obtained here: Halo 3 File Details Overhead View: Red and Blue bases are opposite sides of the map with access points to a symmetrical weapons layout, oversheilds(2), a multi-directional tunnel system(doubling as the main-battle platforms), and numerous easy to figure out(obvious) ramps to change your level. There is also grav lifts near the midpoint to elevate yourself to the upper platform wich houses the neutral bomb as well as the odball, but nothing else other than a view.(no weapons or eqpt) Looking upon top mid from above Blue base. Each team has a chopper, mongoose, sniper, overshield, and missile pod.(all spawn within the bases, overshields are just outside to the right of each base. A launcher with 2 little rockets in it can be found a level above the hammer that you see here, on the maps central top choke-point. The tunnel system or 'Snatch' for short, has a uniquely small but engaging layout that is capable of housing combat or escape/invasion tactics. There is a hammer here in the center, be warned. Set up for Slayer, CTF, Assault, and Oddball.
LOL at the failiest name in existence. But the map looks good. Bloodsnatch? Do you know what a snatch is? And when you put the word blood before it you just fail even worse.
Well, it is that time of the month. Anyway, the map looks pretty good. I like the inside/outside feel of it. The layout is pretty original too. Kudos on posting correctly, too. Nice job, I might download it. 7/10.
what is a snatch?... so i label this map with a dirty but not dirty name, depending on how you look at it. I think it is a cool name and am adding a poll. Nevermind i guess it is too late for me to poll the name.
The map looks good... Unique design and looks like it would play pretty well... Very creative with the tubes! 5/5 from me!
SNATCH=****** BLOOD + SNATCH = BLOODY ****** I really like the layout with all the tunnels! But i think a little more height would be good for yo mapa
i cannot really raise the structures while keeping the map uncluttered. also adding more high up vantage points will definitely shrink the map, not something i really want to do. I also want to keep the sides fairly open for the mongoose aspect of skirmish games.
LOL one of the funniest posts i have ever seen and definetly my favorite map name hey if you got any more dirty names i want them for my maps you could start your own series of dirty names lol Bloodsnatch what were you thinkin lol
how about Vulvatrium or Boneriser. how about Clitteris or Anigav... i personally think Boneriser will be the next in the series of dirty named/clean playing maps i will release
This is a very well done map I will give it a download and look at it. I like the tunnel system a lot, good job on it. The tunnel layout in itself must be really fun to traverse...As for the name, well, I have no comment. It seems everyone just flips open their dictionary and chooses a random word for their map, which at least they could try making the word go with their map or have something to do with it in some way.
Bloodsnatch = Taking Blood, stop being so dirty minded. So far everone in this post has talked about the name and added a small part about the map. The map from what I have seen so far on Sandbox is pretty unique. I liek how it combines CQ combat with Vehicular and long range battles. The bases don't look amazing but they look like they would work well in objective. Im not sure about how many weapons the people have at or near the bases, when I looked at the pics, I thought the pipes would be a campfest, but from reading what you written, I feel the bases may be a campfest. Spread out the weapons and it should work out better. 4/5
There is a gravhammer bottom mid, and a rocket on top mid, with overshields on 90 sec spawn away from the bases. There is also a suprise amongst the exterior of the "snatch"(tunnel system) on each teams side. these weapons and power-up(s) combined with improved vantage points will encourage movement. Trust me, finding cover and alternate pathways is very easy to do throughout the map should provide excellent parody for ANY gametype! Think of this map as "snowboundish with a hint of narrows" ...With a much broader pallet of options for movement and set-ups. Not too mention not dealing with the blinding white snow background.............................sunglasses please?...
