Map Title: Octomus Interlocked map for FFA, Team Slayer, Oddball and King of the Hill Download Map Description: Octomus is a combination close quarters/ open space fighting map designed for Slayers, KOTH and Oddball. This map uses interlocking techniques to have seamless design and weapon and spawn locations are well thought out and tested. Use of grav lift or grenade jumping are use to get most of the power weapons. This map plays like a bungie made map as far as balance and fairness. Try it out Weapons on Map: Multiple BR's Shotguns X 2 (in rooms similar to the PIT map) Maulers X 2 Plasma Pistol X 1 Plasma Rifle X 1 Energy Sword X 1 Sniper Rifle X 1 Carbine X 2 Gravity Hammer X 1 Spartan Laser X 1 Ghost X 1 Mongoose X 1 Active camo X 1 Overshield X 1 Screenshots: A Side B Side Middle Inside of middle Shotgun Rooms X 2 Access to upper levels Portable grav lifts on either side fast respawns Sword Hall Ghost jump ramp to access middle part Grabbin' the ball Ghost battle and Sniper spawn ( on wall behind jumping guy) King of the Hill battle (Map set up for Mosh pit and Crazy King) ENJOY, thanks for reading.
great use of interlocking! map looks pretty good, ive got it queued and ill check it out when i get back home. good job
looks good, but to me i think that if you have hammer, sword should be on it too, just think about it.
Looks pretty nice... but I have a question. Why would you make it so that you have to grenade jump to get some weapons? For one, some people just aren't that good at it and two, who wants to do that anyways? The point of the game is stay alive, not kill yourself mindlessly. Ninja Monkey vanish* POOF!
You don't just have to grenade jump but the option is there for players who want to. There are two grav lifts, 1 on either end. As soon as both are taken then another respawns. There are also one spawn point on either side upper level. Putting one spawn point up there compared tp the many others on the bottom usually puts you up top about three to four times per game without having to get the gravlift. Thanks for the feedback
look at picture 7,hes got a hammer and going for the sword, personally i would just make it one or the other not both, but it isn't my map and sometimes it doesn't make a big deal. i just wanted to point that out.
yeh just some poor grammar on his part... which actually made 2 contradictory statements... sorta funny. but anyways, i see no problem with both a sword and hammer on a map at the same time... it just depends on the scenario and how they are balanced
The hammer is actually pretty hard to get and stay alive with. You don't last that long right in the middle there
