    This a small map above Blackout. Best with Slayer but works for all game types. 2-6 players.

    Description:
    This map was inspired by a Quake Arena map I once played. It is however very unique from the map that inspired it. As you can see from the photos below it is above Blackout. My friends and I most enjoyed Slayer and Team Slayer game types but it will work for all default Halo 3 game types as well. This map consists of 4 platforms and a center turret tower. I went to a great deal of effort to control people's "flight patterns" out of the 8 "man cannons" despite whether a person enters at an angle or jumps upon entrance they almost always land where they should. Also each man cannon has a single fusion coil that you can lunch to the opposing platform into a few well placed propane tanks or you can surprise an unsuspecting traveler in midair with a fusion coil to the face. Also there is one overshield in midair between the 2 back man cannons to help ensure safe passage when ambushing someone on the other side.


    Weapons and Placement:

    *Platform nearest Actual the Blackout map has the Spartan Laser.
    *Lower Platform you will find Lots of different duel weapons, a mauler, and a rocket launcher/fuel rod cannon on a 2 min delayed respawn.
    *Center tower has 2 human and 1 alien turret.
    *The 2 opposing Platforms are very symmetrical and have Lots of BRs, Carbines, 1 sniper and a Sentinel Beam (on each side).

    Weapons list:

    Spartan Laser x1 on top middle platform
    BR x4 (2 on each opposing upper platform)
    Carbine x2 (1 on each opposing platform)
    Sniper x2 (1 on each opposing platform)
    Rocket launcher x1 (on lower platform with a 120 sec delayed respawn)
    Rod cannon x1 (on lower platform with a 90 sec respawn
    Sentinel Beam x2 (one on each opposing platform)
    Needler x1 (on left upper platform)
    Brut Shot x1 (on right upper platform)
    Turret x1 (on turret center tower)
    Plasma cannon x2 (on center turret tower)
    3 sets of Duel weapon combos on lower platform inside boxes (SMG/Plasma, magnum/pasma pistol, spiker/smg)
    Mauler x1 (on lower platform)

    Wow great idea putting this up in black out it must have taken ages, i like the overshield cannon jump thing but its it cartain you get it everytime, also it seems a little overpowered for a competitive map, try putting power weapons that spawn after a certain time or only spawns once perhaps - great work though dude your a competant forger!!! SAFE

    wow, insane job on forging. i have no idea how you possibly got all that stuff outside of blackout and made it so smooth. i don't have any ideas for improvement, except for the post including the recommended number of players and what gametypes you actually recommend. 4.5/5

    Very smooth and fun, 4/5 only map I have played were you can land every time off the man cannons!

    Thanks for the tips guys and and thanks for commenting. As far as the weapons being too overpowered i did delayed weapon spawns and one time only spawns that keep it pretty balanced. Also to answer map maker's comment the recommended game types and team sizes is in the map "short description". Thanks again for down loading !!

    Map looks very cool. I'm downloading it now because it looks like a fun Odd Ball map. I will rate it and let you know what I think here in a later edit.

    Hours Later: O.K I did a quick run through and here is what I thought of your work;

    First off, I thought the design of the map layout was extremely well. The overall platforms I thought could use some variety in cover. What I mean by this is that instead of all concrete barriers, maybe have one platform with walls that have been sunken in to crouch height. Walls are thinner, which would give your map even greater appeal to the eye.

    Second, it seems that in a rush to get this finished, you didn't put as much thought into weapon and equipment placement as you did into the design layout. If this is the case I totally understand because I tend to do this too. My method for overcoming this is to not place weapons once I'm finished. I leave the map alone once it's geometry is complete and come back another day to populate it with weapons. This gives me at least 24 Hrs. to think of what might work.

    I personally think this map's highlights will be had in Oddball and King of the Hill. So I would base my weapon layouts according to this. But that's just my opinion.

    Your map is very original and I would put a lot more extra time into it so it can live up to the potential it already shows.

    Nice map. I've always liked maps out of Blackout, such as "Interrobang". Looks nice, but I don't know about that weapon set... Whatever, it could just be me... 4/5

    Suggestions?


    Dose any one have some ideas as to why they don't like the weapon set and how i could fix it. It seems to be a pretty common concensus. Id like to fix it but im not sure what to change. I placed a lot of power weapons at the base so that players would not get stuck down there. I wanted players who spawn below to have some advantage when they jump to the upper platforms. Dose any one have some suggestions as to what they would prefer as far as a weapons set? Mabey its just to over powered.

    You could remove the Spartan Laser and the Fuel Rod Gun. The Turrets aren't necessary and all they do isoverpower the map. Just some of my ideas...

    this map looks pretty good but all i am hoping for right know is that when u go off the cannon man u dont fall of the map because man cannons aren't very persis as to were u will land unless u set it up perfectly so ethier way they go into the mancannon u land safely every time i will check it out thought

    I'm going to remove some of the turrets and the fuel rod gun and make a few more small adjustments. Thanks for the help. I'll run it with my testers and see if its better. If they like it more I'll add the updated version to this post.
