Okay, the problem is that the capture card will only record TV, it won't record on AV or F-AV. It recognises DVD, but I can't use that because there are no visible inputs for it. This is the back of my TV:

The RCA cable leads to the capture card. The RCA cable is plugged into the RCA output ports. Next to them is a covered-over bit called "in". I don't know what's behind the plastic, so I don't want to ram them open with a screwdriver and find no input ports inside. I don't think it particularly matters though.

This is the front of my TV:

It has the Xbox 360 inputs in the RCA input ports of the TV. These input ports are designated "F-AV".

I can input the xbox 360 through the Scart and through the F-AV. I can output the TV through the Output ports and through the Scart. There is only one scart though.

While I'm watching the xbox on my TV, normal TV is playing in the window of the editor via the Dazzle. It won't record my Xbox, only normal TV. The capture card is a Dazzle DVC 100 (the same one Insane54 uses). I use the Pinnacle Studio 11 that came bundled with it. I'm looking at you Insane for help...

Its recording the TV because its in the TV output like you said, its the TV out put not the xbox, you'll need to buy spilters with two female and one male, have the 3 splitters going to the TV input via the Male end and then with the two females connect a AV cable to the capture card and have the xbox going in, If your un-sure what I mean, take a look on youtube.

That's my set up. It's a pain but it works.

Something sounding that complicated has to work. I'll have a look on YouTube though guys, I don't quite get what Bl00d is saying. I know what Y-splitters are, but why have one male y-splitter?

Actually, it could be that your capture card isn't set up to record in 60hz, which is the default in the us but not europe. Considering you're in England, that's more likely to be your problem. I recommend downloading AMcap and doing a quick youtube search for 60hz capture card guide or something ^.^

I get it now, but I accidentally bought headphone-jack splitters. Oops.

I doubt the 60Hz thing is an issue though.

Usually the 60hz thing IS an issue in the UK. It's the biggest reason why people can't capture Halo 3 footage because their capture cards aren't made to. the Xbox is outputting 60hz and your tv probably isn't from the tv channel but not your xbox channel... if you see what I mean. This can be worked around by downloading amcap... Youtube it and you'll see what I mean... ^.^ Oh, and order the Y splitters off of Maplin... That's where I found mine.

These are what I got, and they work:
Phono 2 Plugs to 1 Socket Cable > Maplin

We'll see if it's an issue if it still doesn't work when I get my Y-splitters. I bought them off eBay, they were only £4 for 3 of them.
