v2. Already? It is pretty darn good for a Rat's nest map, I love the use of advanced techniques on that sort of map, as before 5/5
I liked this map, it was pretty fun. It's got some pretty cool map geometry and I'm glad to see a map on rats nest. Though I think you should spawn a team at sniper, and move sniper build a platform outside where the teams spawn add a tele into the sniper area otherwise, it's a great map
I have to agree with most of Chris' points. I feel the map is wonderful for a start, but some expansion would do it much more justice. There needs to be a more solid high ground outside, and the inside is far too powerful... with only one entrance. Additionally, maybe focus a little more on plasma and dual weapons to balance out the style. BRs are very dominating on it for being so small. Other than that, i loved it
Again basically what the two above me said. Try to built some different height levels outside on the cliff and maybe even to into the middle area to make the map feel like it is bigger. I defiantly suggest Chris's teleporter idea though this will allow for easier movement around the map so its not just a slaughter fest trying to keep running towards the opponent. Other than that it played pretty well and it looks pretty good. Nice job
Great map. 4/5 until I DL and play. From the pictures, this map looks very fun. It also looks like you could make a conquest gametype on this with some adjustments.
Here's an idea to reduce the strength of the sniper and make the ascent to the needler better looking. Try geomerging an open double box (vertical, so the ends are blocked off by the ground and bridge respectively) directly underneath the needler bridge, then put crates as the steps on both sides of the double box. That way you cut down a little on the overload of grav lifts, add an interesting (and probably very pretty) structure to the hallway, and add a good batch of cover to power down the sniper a little. I also agree with the previous comments about the center of the T. Maybe try connecting the two verticle double boxes with a horizontal double box that is sunk into the ground. That would make the aesthetics of the centerpiece more uniform and add the requested change in elevation. Good job with fixing the evenness of the two bases. Little things like that bring out the OCD in me. Overall, a good second version. You've made good changes, but there's still room for improvement.
It's because I use Bumper Jumper (a button layout), duh. I thank you for your saying that Havana v2 is a good map but it would be greatly appreciated if you can try to play 2v2 on it and give me some more detailed feedback. Like how the game flowed, is it balanced and all that stuff. I am not quite sure when, but I will try to make a final version 3.
