    Power-Up Geomerging

I remember some FH staff members announcing that there were no door like objects found in Sandbox, and that we'd need to go back to the "old-school" technique. Well I think I've found an alternative for doors.
Note: I do not own the Mythic Map Pack, so I do not know how things will turn out on Sandbox. I do not know how far this technique can get you, as in, how much you can do this before the object goes all crazy. And I have not tried angled merging with this technique, or tried it with any other object besides shown.

    Step-by-step Tutorial:

    1. Place the object you want to geomerge and brace it.

    2. Place the object to spawn at No, and do whatever respawn rate serves you best. I had used some spawn points to point out the corners of the double box. Start a new round, place a dumpster at each corner of the double box, and place a power-up on top of it. And delete the dumpster. The dumpster is to set a uniform height for the power-up.

    3. Force spawn the double box, and it should look like this. See the custom power-up sticking out at the corners of the box.

    4. Optional: Put some braces on top, best if you do if you want the best quality of merge.

    5. Double tap A on the box OR grab the box and save and quit.

    6. Delete the braces, and notice the box sank down accordingly to how much the power-up was held within it, just like the way foundry doors do it. (Don't bother telling me that this isn't perfectly parallel with the ground, I know it isn't, this is most likely because I didn't save and quit while grabbing the box.)

    7. And you're done!

Please leave your thoughts and comments.

Yay?!? Isn't geomerging by interlocking walls into the sides of objects sorta better though. But I guess this is nice if you just want to quickly geomerge an item into the ground.

Nice guide, but, you can use any immovable object to merge, the only advantage powerups would have is that you can grab them to make them diappear, instead of starting a new round and setting not to place at start

Okay, no offense, but you guys really aren't getting the point of this. In my first paragraph, if you read, it says that people had said that there were no door-like objects in sandbox (for quick and easy merges). So I thought I might try to find an alternative for doors and I got this. I am aware of the technique MousseMooseROCKS talks about, but I'd thought I could share this technique and let there be more varieties to geomerging. And I apologize if my foundry screenshots had confused you.

And that's cool and all but you have to realize how much easier it would be yo just interlock a double box to the top of the object you which to merge and merge it. To be honest power up merging sounds slightly pointless. why add all those dumpsters and such when you could just save and quit one object into place. It might work well if you set up the dumpsters and just put a double box on top of it.

Anyway nice find. I will use it if I run out of other items or such.

I don't know if you getting this at all. He doesn't have the Mythic Map Pack and heard that there are no good ways of geo-merging on Sandbox.

He wanted to show you a method on Foundry that you could do on Sandbox. Unless I'm completely mistaken, and you're talking about some double box on Sandbox.

From my perspective it seems like you are arguing the fact of the way he's geo-merging on Foundry.
