SKYBUMPER This is my second forge to be released to the web. The first Moment I saw Sandboxes Skybox My first thought was bumper cars. And thats wat i did. Note: Since not too man people i know have the Mythi Map pack I couldn't get any action shots. this is the Overview of it The Kill Ball has no effect on the Gameplay just a cool effect to add. Nor does any of the wooden structures outside the flat. Vehicle Setup is shown below and all starting points are at the Vehicles The only thing that does not make this a flat surface are two sets of T-Wall and wedges on the outside of them The Gametype I made allows you to jump high to avoid being splattered or pushed off when outside of a vehicle. but you can't move too fast. Also since the Gametypes settings, A mongoose cannot be destroyed by the Chopper or ghost. And Consider the Fact that the mongoose is quick and agile, allowing you to dodge bigger vehciles like the chopper The way to win of course is to have the most ammount of points or the least ammount of negative score. Now all of the Wooden Bridges, Radio antennas, and scaffolding is only there for appearance. I think it was a good idea to add some scenery outside of the actual platform but its a little misleading. From first glance it looked like a race map. And even as a bumper platform, thats not very original. Although its better map than most maps like this you should also include some specific info about "your" gametype. from what i can tell, no one would ever use the mongoose. and perhaps you could include a better description
I love monster trucks gameplay on halo 3 but i have seen so many, 2/5. This is better than almost every one but it is not original except for scenery on the outside. It is fun though!
It's a common idea, but yours just looks sexier because 1. it's on sandbox skybubble, and that scaffolding around it..and the killball. The only problem I'd have with it is the chopper..it'd rip through everything else..maybe keep it all ghosts/mongooses/warthogs (or mix them up)..its pretty cool, ill give it a 4, just because its used..a fair amount. its really nice, i must say again.
I love the idea of the outer area. And if it isn't low enough, you should make it so if they jump to high, they hit the killball. lol, i knew someone was going to make this, and you are the first. congrats. BUT... Is it a fair scoring system? such as the scoring system on hog the hill? I don't care that much about the scoring, as gameplay is what its all about, but if a fair scoring system could be developed, then that would be great. And maybe you could make the mongooses a bit more benifitial somehow, but idk. So, grats, and I'm definately downloading.
This is great for your second map. Few things: I don't see the vehicle choices as incredibly fair at the moment. At this size of a map, both the chopper and the mongoose would have similar speeds except for the fact that the chopper could easily shoot a mongoose off the map. If you want to have different vehicles, you need to have equal setbacks for them. In this scenario, there is no benefit for the mongoose. Yes, they are technically faster, but at this size of a map, I doubt any person driving the chopper would miss shooting the mongoose (it only takes one bullet to start them rolling ). So you need to balance the power. Example: big vehicle can push of smaller vehicles, but its slow getting to the hill (does the hill move? have different sections?); smaller vehicles can get to the hill faster but prone to being shot off. Plus, maybe add some obstructions on your platform. (you even said it was a bit boring without the border And your border is... random? I like it, very structured and yet, not really. Clever idea to add to your map's visual. You got a nice idea here, just go all out with it and you will be fine. Keep it up.
i just have an idea about the border... what if you make it a king of the hill varient so the last one on the platform wins. and when you die you respon on the scafolding with brute shots to help bounce players around??? i think that would make the map even better. just an idea though
