"Above You!"

    This map is based on the idea that having zombies dropping down on you from above is scary... or at least scarier than having them at eye-level. Construct makes for a natural application of this "principle." The zombies spawn at the top of the map, which is extensively modified with lots of cover to make it friendlier to them than to humans. Teleporters into the zombie spawn (where the sword normally is) ensure that this is a bad place for humans to hold out.

    The room at the bottom of the map has been made into a proper base, with a turret facing out the front--or "sword side"--and plenty of weapons and equipment, including mines. A covering--or "Skylight"--has been added to the hole in the center of the base ceiling. Humans can shoot through this Skylight, but zombies cannot enter unless they make a significant effort to break through, and aren't stopped. Twin 2-way teleporters have been added in front of the bottom of the gold lift to stop humans from taking too much advantage of the gold lift "dead end."

    A Mongoose waits outside the base for a quick getaway, but it will be difficult to evade the zombies for long if they work together!

    This map is especially fun with a lot of people--the more, the better. So bring your big parties here for an awesome game of infection! Also, this map is designed to work best with my custom Infection variant, Infection 2.0. (Click here.)

    This looks like a good map, and its nice to see a map made on Construct for once.

    Could you please post the names of previous maps/creators, and/or links to the previous maps that used this concept on Construct, with the Skylight and zombie-friendly top levels? (If not here, then in another appropriate forum topic.) I would be very interested to see what others before me did with this concept. :squirrel_chatting:

    What would one make the Skylight out of in Foundry? Obviously, one could make a skylight out of fence walls or fence boxes, but the zombies would not be able to break through. I suppose something could be worked out with teleporters. But this is not as natural.

    If a map idea does not require Foundry, why use it? People already use Foundry for everything. (So much so that--in a way--I'm getting tired of looking at it.) Isn't it a little refreshing to see a different map used creatively? For all my map ideas that require Foundry, I use it, but this one doesn't, so I don't. :squirrel_jaffa:
