new map idea need opinion on the subject.

    New Map Idea Need Opinions

    I've been playing alot of recent infection games with no strategy so i came up with an idea.

    I have been thinking of making a zombie game that was different from other infections. i was thinking of making a house or some type of structure that you must seize and defend. It goes like you the humans must take a certain structure and defend it for a certain amount of time intil evac arrives. There will be starting points for the humans outside the structure and zombies are inside the structure. so humans must take it back and there is regular respawn pionts for humans (inside structure)and zombies (outside). if humans dont work together they die. There will be a rescue vechicle at the end so you get out or die. so what do you guys think of this idea. it will be on foundry. I already did some betas, but i dont know if i should go through with it.

    I'm not letting this thread die

    This is a very complicated idea. In infection the power levels shouldn't change, if the humans start on the outside with no weapons or any advantage, and they are powerful enough to move into the building and become even more powerful, that will unbalance the game. I have an idea, make the respawn traits higher that they were for the zombies, so when they die out of the building, and humans take over it will still be balanced.

    sounds alot like left 4 dead...i wouldnt have humans spawn outside. i would have them start inside, that sounds better IMO

    It sounds like a good idea, but the only problem is that once the humans have the building, it could either:

    - Very easily be retaken by the zombies
    or
    - Very unfair for the zombies

    You should just make a territories gametype where the team who spawn in the house must stop it from being claimed by the other team (but the territories don't lock, so they can be reclaimed). That'd be fair. You don't have to have infection for everything.

    if i let humans spawn inside there would be no piont to the game. i want poeple to use strategy in this game they must fight of the zombies inside then come up with a plan to protect for a certain amount of time intil evac arrives.

    You could have the humans spawn outside with half-way decent weapons so that they can take over the house with some strategy but don't give them loads of powerful weapons in the house. Give them maybe three shotguns and some other weapons for example, make the shotguns have less ammo so it would require strategy to keep the zombies out instead of just holding down the trigger the whole time. They'd have to be careful how they use their ammo.

    Yea thats what i was going for have a very small amount of weapons so camping is impossible outside. it just gets the humans inside.
