Ordinance Bowl Created by Tai Therin [br] Supported Gametypes: Slayer/Team Slayer (KOTH support may be added) [br] Map Description When new weapons from the UNSC are tested, they bring them to a large bowl shaped observation center. Then, after the scientists are relaxed behind an energy screen, they release the new weapon, and notes are taken. After, the bowl is cleaned up, and the process is repeated. But now, the fight is taken to the bowl, nicknamed the Ordinance Bowl. Are you ready? The fighting takes place on three levels. The top level is mostly the four bridges that lead into the middle. At the end of these bridges are wire boxes, each one containing spawns. The bridges each have dual SMGs, and two of the bridges have maulers. One bridge has a brute shot and a overshield. A bubble shield and a regenerator are also on one bridge. Finally, the top also features one single shotgun spawned leaned up against one of the wire boxes. The middle level has four barriers, and behind these are weapons. and grenades As well, dumpsters provide a way to get up to the third level. Behind each barrier are BRs, and one barrier also the the almighty Flamethrower. The bottom level is usually where one team spawns. The bottom level is actually more like the second bottom, as the floor slopes down to the grav lift that pushes you to the top level. The bottom level features four tunnels that lead out into places protected by shield doors. However, these doors can be beaten, as skillful players can throw grenades over the shield. As well, the bottom level has two needlers, maulers, spikers, and flame grenades. One shotgun is also leaned against the outside of a tunnel. Two grav lifts provide a way to jump up. Final, but perhaps important feature is the fact that the UNSC still uses this bowl. every 180 seconds, a weapon is tested, injuring, or even killing anyone inside the bowl who isn't shielded. Simple meaning? Fusion Cores. Explosion. Dead. [br] _________________________________________________ [br] The bottom of the bowl, showing the active camo and the grav lift up to the top floor. [br] The top floor, where the attackers spawn, also, look and notice the bridges [br] Another view of the bridges, showing the weapons and the overshield [br] _________________________________________________ [br] A few notes here on the map in general. 1. This map has no gametype, as normal Slayer and Team Slayer work, but if you really want one, I can whip one up quick 2. Oh yeah, don't do anything more then 3vs3 or maybe 4vs4 on team, and no more then 5ish doing normal slayer, or the map will become extremely cramped. (More so than it is) 3. This map has weapons. Lots. I like guns, and this map reflects that. Also, flame grenades are on each of the pairs of SMGs or the pairs of Spikers in the tunnels. 4. The name is right, this map is ordinance. Thats why you should watch out for fusion cores spawning every 180 seconds and killing almost anyone who isn't in the shielded areas. However, you may not die depending, so just be aware. 5. Comments are appreciated. [br] MAP DOWNLOAD
As sloppy as this map looks from the pictures, it does have a very kewl concept behind it. It is spelled Ordnance btw.
I have problems keeping my maps neat. It bugs me, because I can't ever get them as smooth as most people. But whatever, I'll work on it. Thanks for commenting =D
This map is alright...but some of the walls are a little crooked. I recommend using single and double boxes to keep them straight.
You said you had "4 pairs of flame grenades" thats 8 flame grenades for a possible 5 people playing FFA. dont you think that is a bit much?
Yes make sure that double boxes are lined up where you want them and then put the walls against them but make sure it is as neat as possible.
Yeah, after a playthrough/test with a few freinds, I've decided to remove a substantial amoutn of weapons/grenades. Fire grenades are bad.
This looks like a good map for close quarters. Some things could have been interlocked though. A nice map for a new member, and I'm glad you made a proper post. 3.5/5 :squirrel_rubberduck: P.S. Don't blieve Killex, you spelled ordinance right.
