Literally the first time I used GIMP. This is Frag Man's attempt to teach me how to make sigs, I think it turned out okay. Also, don't say "Anime = trash". Give me a legit reason why it sucks. Second Version: Original Image.
Is the stock Saber from fatestay night? Before I knew you had this posted here, I made my own version. This isnt meant to show you up, just for advice. hell, some may like yours better than mine You want to make smaller sigs. 400X150 is a good size. If you have a larger stock, either resize it or do what I've done here. Also, you want to keep it at a HQ, like mine. I would get rid of the logo, and Improve your text.
I wasn't going to use it, and I didn't feal like chopping off more from the bottom. I might resize it later, if I decide to use it as my sig. And I didn't pick the stock image, So i didn't know if the logo was something important. I'll probably remove that tomorrow. Thanks for the feedback.
@Right- I like your text on the right, you didnt jack it up and make it suck ass like most first timers. Left could use some work. for a first sig its not bad but if you have a border going around then you want it all the same size. It's also quite a bit big. Also PLEASE don't copy frag's strange obsession with only using anime girls. It looks like you tried to do the right kinds of things so good job. Look up some tutorials to improve. @Mace- Popup... Don't show him that. They look bad if you don't do it right, meaning just having it go over the border. You need to completly base the sig around that and have the flow go towards that for those to work right. Blue border looks bad and bad text. =(
Yeah, a few people have said it sucked but I kind of liked it. The border is the same on the top and the bottom, and not having it on the sides gives it a widescreen look. And I didn't size it down because I didn't plan to make it my sig. I'll probably do it just because though. Lawl, I didn't plan on it. He just supplied the stock and the tasks for me to try to complete.
Also, I told him to do anime because it was better for beginners. When you have a more complex character in there, the signature becomes harder to make and blend. And I told you to fix that blasted cursive text. Change it's color a bit. Mace, that's not Saber. Just a random anime figure. The size also depends on the render, so don't tell him what size he should have. For this, I think he needs to lower the height a bit. The width seems alright.
Its a big improvement from the original. The only problem I have with it is the text. I don't like the font or the color.
I do not have an obsession, it's just I can never find any male anime renders that have the right posture.
*eye twitch, eye twitch* I will send you some of my favorite renders if you want. I don't know if they have posture or what not but they are what I like.
You know how you only pick renders you like? Yea, I pick renders based on what I "see" in them. So I probably won't like them. But yes, please do send them.
