Well, I finally managed to get some money to purchase it last weekend(sold 11 games, got $220) and I love it.

It isn't a whole lot different from the Demo, just so far I'm a bit overwhelmed with how much there is to do. 'Tis a similar feeling to when I first played the original Skate. game.

Song list isn't as great as the first one though.

Anywho, who else here has it? Lets discuss.

It is a great game, but for some reason I feel the first game is better. I'm not sure why, most likely because I 100% it. Overall its a great game, in the first game getting up stairs were your worst enemy. But now with the ability to walk it stopped many problems. Sadly the walking mechanics suck, while off your board the camera is slow, and walking feels very frigid. I hope they fix this or take it account for later versions because I tried to the least amount of walking possible.

Skate 2 is slightly shorter than one, I was pretty disappointed by the story. The whole game doesn't deserve to be called skate 2, its just a refurnished skate. Same place, Same story. The only differences are some added characters, a lot more scenery, aded the ability to call big black to help with security, call mike and to call to drain pools. The main story is practically the same, in the first game you were an unknown skater making his way to the top, in the second game you've been in jail, God knows how you got there. You're forgotten and you make your way to the top, by getting sponsors and getting the cover of Thrasher and skateboard mag. Same magazines in the first may I add.

The customization is great, I was surprised that you could customize in the demo, but was limited for obvious reasons. Onequestion though, there seems to be no long hair styles, theres one but i'm not sure you can call that a hair cut. The graphics are spectacular, the lighting is great, a couple of times I've stopped and looked around me.

Back on graphics, amazing if I say so myself, but a could of times, cut scene or not a part of his body would go through tthe scenery around him, or his arm would go through his jumper. Its not a big deal, and doesn't affect the gameplay at all but it something that could be fixed.

Something cool they have added in #2 is the ability to have visual cuts and scars. Fallling constantly will result in pretty crusum cuts over your elbow and forearm, even chest if not wearing shirt. Its a pretty a cool mechanic and adds more realism.

Hall of meat, I wasn't a big fan of but I know my friend boydy loves it, and so do many others. To my knowledge thrasher acturly have a hall of meat in real life. The objective is simple, bail, bail and you guessed it...Bail. You get bonuses fr height, cars, other objects etc. By the sound of it, its sounds very amusing to hurl the virtual you of a bridge or into cars. Well that because it is, but to me it gets boring fast.

Online, I was disappointed to see they've removed a couple of game types, such as spot race, which I was in the top 100 (in the world) The way to earn ranks in multi player is different than the first, in skate. you would earn EXP for either flip or Deathrace, in skate 2 you have your 5/6 gametypes, once you achieve 100 exp in one of them you will receive bronze for that gametype. For a silver you need 400 and so forth. To be honest I like the new system, it widen things up abit because you need 2 more bronzes in other events to get a silver.

So overall I would give it a 8/10, Its a great game but to similar to the first. I'm hopping in skate 3 it keeps the feel but in a totally new environment, a different story wouldn't hurt. Otherwise it gets repetitive.
    I'll add more later

I have to agree, number 1 was probably better. The story in Skate2 is well... Non exist-ant, i still haven't even finished the game because I have no reason too, i just wish the story line's from the Tony hawks games could be combined with the gameplay from Skate :(. Also the walking, it looks like he's got a pole up his arse, I laughed out loud the first time i got off my board :D. There's still some nice parts about the game, the amazingly crafted spots that i could just sesh with a friend all day, and the video editor is somewhat fun to play about with. Overall id rate the game 7/10.

It's a pretty good game. I dig all the new tricks, etc... Everything seems to be slightly improved, and the walking is a good idea, however the walking mechanics can be very frustrating at times.

Like I said, everything is slightly improved, but for some reason, and I can't seem to put my finger on it, I don't like it as much as I liked the first Skate when it came out. I think it has a little to do with the control system of Skate being so new at the time, and now it's the same old thing.

Don't get me wrong though, I won't be playing the old Skate over the new one or anything. The new one IS better.

    FREESKATE PARTY AT MY HOUSE!!!

lol . Its a great game. I wish the walking mechanics can be a little better. Plus it sucks how we have to pay to get the video editing tools for Skate 2 when the came free in Skate 1. Also, there could have been a bigger deck and accessories selection...

This game great. I have no problems with besides for one thing. As I go to get off my skateboard, I notice that my ass jiggles a whole lot. At first it was funny but as I played and ran more, it started to get more and more annoying by the minute. They did a crappy job with the "off you skateboard" feature but the rest is 100% awesome. Nuff said.

I'm loving the annals of meat challenges. The bail system is a blast.

Hall of meat is a great addition to the amazing Skate games.
On the first i loved just going around bailing and seeing how many bones i break, but now they have challenges and points for online and offline multiplayer.
For me the game is awfully short but the online is addictive and i have been playing since the game came out. However online in hall of meat i have seen people do a glitch to fly up in the air and they get like 50,000 points on a crap place to bail. This glitch kills hall of meat online but hopefully they will fix it soon. If you downloaded the demo and thought the controls are great but its not shouting at you, i would consider renting the game as the demo is very restricted and the game itself is fun for hours.

I would think the game is 4/5. xD
