Channel By DimmestBread Download Channel Download Conquest V3 Description: Channel is a map specifically designed for conquest for the conquest forge off. It is completely linear, plays like a traditional conquest map, and looks nice. I took a lot of inspiration from the cellars because that was one of the first conquest maps I played on. I wouldn't say its an amazing map but it does what it needs to do and I'm happy about that. I also had to sacrifice some aesthetics because I wanted it to actually be bigger than other foundry conquest maps. This is the only chance I'll get to post it so I did. I could probably make it a bit better but Time is not on my side so heres weapons and pictures. Tip: If making an indoor map, it is wise to use elements for the floor instead of using foundry's floor. This is to give the player a feel of a new enviornment from foundry. I will give a game status update after the download.

The map wouldn't be this big if I did that. The first three pictures show the entire map. Since it is symmetrical, I only need to show one side.
the map looks amazing. i really like the shield door interlocked with the fence walls. you can see them but you cant shoot them!! ha
i liked this map. its fairly simple, and really fun. my kind of map, enclosed hallways. its a good conquest map. i enjoy playing it, and as a bonus, it looks good too.
oh, that's right, I forgot to comment on this after I got a game on it. The map's design is perfect for conquest and it was pretty fun. That being said, there was a few problems with the map. I'll shoot it to you straight. -The sniper respawns way too fast, it simply owns when you're at the middle territory and it really degraded the gameplay. -The hallways are narrow, which is good for conquest, but maybe a little too narrow at the middle territory. You also have a random fencewall in the middle of the hallway on one team's side and not the other. You should get rid of that fencewall -Grenades: there wasn't too much but I couldn't figure out where they spawned. I only picked them up from dead bodies. Not a serious problem, just asking where they spawn. If you fixed most of those things up, this has potential to place in the contest. There's just enough turns, the hallways give off the conquest feel, and the hump in the middle cuts off the line of sight making it easier to capture territories. All in all, a great design.
was the fence wall in the downloaded version. I guess I forgot to delete that. I'll edit just before the contest closes. The grenades spawn right by the a and b signs 2 per team at 10 sec.
You should think about making a floor or something more interesting than Foundry's blank grey motionless ground. Bumps or something a little more innovative wouldve been cool. Other than that, great map. I will need to dl this sometime.
